Liberals deny right they say they support

By Letter to the Editor on October 5, 2017.

I have never been more disgusted with our “democratic” government, who took away my voice when they turfed Rachael Harder. If Harper’s government would have done that to a pro-choice MP, hell would have been raised across the nation! Freedom of speech and freedom of expression are something Liberals and NDP say they hold dear, but it appears that this only holds true when it supports their ideology.

Pro-choice is a right; pro-life is a right as well. To deny either right to any Canadian is a crime. Even within the Liberal party, Trudeau said that anyone who didn’t have his personal pro-choice beliefs could not run for the party. That should have offended all Liberals! It is disheartening to see so-called Liberals resorting to tactics they usually credit to ultra “red neck” Conservatives. If you disagreed with McCarthy, you were blacklisted. At last, sir, have you no shame?

having someone like harder head a panel on the status of women is akin to having stalin head a panel on human rights.
however, free speech is something to be held dear, and to have this right requires we are able to express our views in as respectable a manner as is possible, and, to have those views subjected to scrutiny as respectfully as is possible.
to ensure this happens with regard to the right of a woman to her body, and to her right to choose without interference is a debate that has long sailed.
meanwhile, to put ms. harder in charge of any panel, except one that waxes poetic about the good old days for women, is nonsense.

Pro-choice does not require anyone to terminate their pregnancy nor does it remove a woman’s fundamental rights under the Charter. The letter writer (and Ms. Harder) are not Pro-life; the are advocates for forced birth and reproductive slavery. Anyone who openly advocates for stripping ALL Canadian women of their fundamental Charter rights is completely incapable of being the Chair of the committee. Racheal Harder does not represent my views. I am not property and I refuse to become a ward of the state. I will also not allow forced birth advocates to strip citizens of their Charter rights in the name of religion. How many dead women will satisfy you folks?

You are totally right Brian!..Free-speech but only if it lines-up with their twisted ideology. Bunch of hypocrites from the part of the “political spectrum” that shouts “tolerance.”
