Local residents will have their first opportunity to vote in this year’s municipal election on Saturday.
There are five advanced voting days scheduled in the lead-up to Election Day on Oct. 16, including: Saturday, Sept. 30, city hall; Tuesday, Oct. 3, Lethbridge College, Richardson Oilseed Room; Saturday, Oct. 7, city hall; Wednesday, Oct. 11, University of Lethbridge, Andy’s Place; and Saturday, Oct. 14, city hall.
The advanced voting stations are arranged in an effort to provide all eligible voters with an opportunity to vote. The stations run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Advance voting stations are open to all eligible voters, including those who will be in the city on Oct. 16.
Voting is open to Canadian citizens at least 18 years old, have lived in Alberta since April 16, 2017, live in Lethbridge on Election Day, and can produce identification displaying your name and address.
Voters will be voting for mayor, councillor, public school and separate school trustees.
