Lethbridge Police Service has charged a 43-year-old man in connection with a fire at a downtown business last month.
At about 5:30 a.m. April 5, Lethbridge firefighters responded to a fire in the alley in the 600 block of 4 Avenue South. The fire, which was considered suspicious, caused damage to the Boarderline building.
Police obtained surveillance photos, and a news release was issued April 27 seeking the public’s help to identify the individual in the photos. Tips subsequently led to a suspect.
Jason Frank Busby is charged with arson to property and possession of incendiary material. He is scheduled to appear in court May 23.
