Lethbridge Herald -TABER
A man and woman have been charged with several offences after Taber police received a report that two vehicles were driving erratically along Highway 3 east of Taber Friday.
Police found the vehicles parked at Walmart in Taber where they arrested the drivers and found in the man’s vehicle several stolen codeine pills. Both vehicles had also been reported stolen, one from Medicine Hat and the other from the MD of Taber.
The suspects provided false names to police, but after they were correctly identified police learned they had outstanding warrants for their arrest.
Anthony Douglas Johnson, 23, of Lethbridge has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, operating a motor vehicle while prohibited, dangerous driving, obstructing a peace officer, and drug possession. A bail hearing was held and Johnson was remanded to appear in Taber provincial court Tuesday.
Shalynn Krushel, 20, of Lethbridge has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, obstructing a peace officer, dangerous driving and operating a vehicle without an operator’s licence. She was released following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in Taber provincial court next Tuesday.
