There’s a familiar phrase that goes, “with friends like these, who needs enemies?”
One man, in particular, might have said that a year ago when his friend, Sean Walter Horvath, assaulted him and took his truck.
The two men had driven to Coalhurst last Sept. 23 where they sat in the truck drinking beer and smoking cigarettes. Then Horvath punched his friend in the face, pushed him out of the truck and drove away.
Police found the truck, complete with Horvath’s finger prints, sometime later and was arrested.
Horvath, who was set for trial Tuesday in Lethbridge provincial court, pleaded guilty instead to one count of robbery and was sentenced to 12 months in jail.
