Lethbridge Herald -Pincher Creek
Pincher Creek RCMP are looking for culprits involved in break-ins at two locations between Oct. 27 and Sunday.
The first break-in occurred between Oct. 27 and Oct. 31 at a compound on Allison Street in Pincher Creek in which several people, after cutting through the fence at the rear of the property, stole two Can Am Outlander ATVs and various tools and equipment, including chainsaws.
Police say the suspects arrived at the site on a side-by-side ATV, then drove the stolen quads some distance from town. The same suspects likely also broke into numerous containers at Pincher Station, where they attempted to steal two motor bikes. The bikes were recovered in a field where the suspects had left them before departing on the ATVs.
None of the missing ATVs have been recovered.
Police are also seeking information relating to a break-in to numerous trailers at the Cowley Boat Club, north of Cowley.
Sometime between last Wednesday and Sunday unknown persons on ATVs cut the fence and entered the Cowley Boat Club grounds. They broke into more than 20 holiday trailers and stole numerous items, including tools, TVs and clothing. They also caused extensive damage when they used axes and pry bars to enter the trailers.
Anyone with information about these crimes is urged to contact local police, Pincher Creek RCMP at 403-627-6010, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS). Information can also be provided online at http://www.tipsubmit.com.
