An anonymous tip has resulted in charges being laid against a Hobbema man.
On Jan. 25, the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit, received a tip from the community, and based on the information provided, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant was executed on a residence in the community of Standoff.
Located inside the residence was sawed-off shotgun, shotgun ammunition, drug paraphernalia and a sword.
Willis Quincy House, age 32, of Hobbema, was charged with possession of weapon dangerous to the public, possession of prohibited weapon, careless storage of a prohibited firearm and related offences.
House’s first court appearance is scheduled for Feb 9 at 10 a.m. at the Provincial Courthouse in Cardston.
