EMMA RUTH SMITH
1920 ~ 2013
Mrs. Emma Ruth Smith of Nobleford, beloved wife of the late Leslie Frank Smith, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the age of 93 years.
Emma is survived by her children, Jim (Carol), Allan (Glenda), Vernon (Roberta), Kathryn (Ralph), 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Emma is also survived by her brothers Fred (Rena), Jack (Mabel), Donald (Carol), her brother in-law and sister in-law Andrew and Ada, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and their families.
Emma was predeceased by her husband Leslie Frank, parents Gust and Louise Zech, her sisters Martha, Louise, Elsie and Mildred and her brothers Walter and Ted.
The family would like to thank family, friends and wonderful neighbors as well as all the staff at Legacy Lodge for their help during this difficult time.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West Lethbridge with Pastor Nathan Fuehrer, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mountain View cemetery, Field of Honor, following the service.

WIGGERS-WISSINK
GIZIENA “SINY” WIGGERS-WISSINK, of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2013 at the age of 68 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons Ron (Diane), Michel and Davey. Also left to mourn her loss, are her grandchildren Ryan (Terena), Monique (Isaac), Chesney, Courtney & Brendan, and her great granddaughter Thea. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Hermi (Arie), and Rie and their children Danny, Renate and Peter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews all of the Netherlands.
Siny was born in Enschede, The Netherlands on June 7th, 1945. She married Hubert Wiggers in 1963. Their adventurous spirit led them to immigrate to Canada with their three young sons in 1981.
She’s always had a great love for flowers, so springtime in a greenhouse brought her pure joy. She loved music, reading and movies and was very excited to share them with others. She always reserved a special place in her heart for numerous animals as well. Home fashion was a great passion and she spent hours poring over magazines. She was passionate about her work. A job well done filled her with such pride. She retired from The Cypress Group in February of this year.
Siny was predeceased by her father Hermann Wissink in 1971, and her mother Geziena Wissink-Post in 1980.
A Memorial Service will be held celebrating Siny’s life at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in memory of Siny to the Canadian Cancer Society.

WILLIAMS, JIM
It is with great sorrow and tremendous loss we announce the sudden passing of our father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle, Jim Williams.
Aside from his loving children Kristin, Jesse and Griffin, Jim is survived by his “Queen” Joan Friedel and his first wife Janice Williams.
Jim also leaves behind his mother Helen Williams, his sister Trish Gurr (Glen), his grandchildren Violet and Leif and many nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his father Robert (Bob) Williams and his sister Karen Millwater.
Jim was born in Lethbridge and moved to Calgary in 1979 with his family. Music was his lifelong passion. He played in several bands and continued playing weekend gigs with his buddies
Jim was an award winning instructor with the C.P.G.A and had been a member for the past sixteen years.
In that time, Jim created several golf programs for The City of Calgary including “KIDS ON COURSE” which won a silver medal in New Program Excellence.
In the off season from golf, Jim loved working for AMA where he made many wonderful friends and was able to continue helping others.
Jim will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
