BRENT (BEN) DRAGLAND
1968 ~ 2013
Brent (Ben) William Dragland, was born June 25, 1968 to Dave and Ruth Dragland and beloved husband to Tracy Dragland, loving father of Logan and Alexis, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at the age of 45.
Brent was predeceased by his mother Ruth Dragland, Grandparents Ted & Winifred Dragland and Papa Burt Langridge.
Left to mourn, are his father Dave, brothers David (Shelly) and Gary (Sandy), sister Debra, Nanny Ethel Langridge and numerous nieces and nephews. Brent was born and raised in Lethbridge, AB.
Brent was a man of many gifts, and as a tradesman, Brent had knowledge in a variety of fields. He was a loving husband and a proud father. Brent was the type of man who always was there if someone needed a hand or just an ear. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and fishing and believed in being a humanitarian. Even though Brent left suddenly he will be in our hearts forever.
A celebration of his life will be held at the MOOSE LODGE, 1401-5 Ave N. Lethbridge, AB on Sunday Oct.6, 2013 between 1-3pm.

EMMA RUTH SMITH
1920 ~ 2013
Mrs. Emma Ruth Smith of Nobleford, beloved wife of the late Leslie Frank Smith, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, September 27, 2013 at the age of 93 years.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the IMMANUEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 20 Rocky Mountain Blvd. West Lethbridge with Pastor Nathan Fuehrer, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mountain View cemetery, Field of Honor, following the service.

GIFFORD, Marjorie
May 20, 1932 – Sept 24, 2013
Mrs. Marjorie Gifford (nee McKee) of Pincher Creek, AB passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at the age of 81 years.
Marjorie was born in Edmonton on May 20, 1932. She also lived in Winnipeg and Lethbridge in her early years. Marjorie met Ross Kenney in Lethbridge and spent many a fun nights at the roller skating arena, where she was quite a star. She loved to ride the Harley with Ross, but he always dropped her off a block away from home, cause she wasn’t suppose to be on it.
Ross and Marjorie were married in 1950 in Sweetgrass, Montana. Byron was born in 1951, James in 1954 and Beverly in 1964. Marjorie and Ross moved to the Brocket area in 1960, where Ross was the elevator operator, and Marjorie worked in the store. She drove the school bus in between everything else in Brocket for nearly 20 years, then later for the Pincher Creek School Division. Marjorie was very active in the figure skating community and was an active Gold Test Skating Judge. “Always on the go”.
Marjorie & Ross resided in the Summerview area until his passing in 1985.
Marjorie married Harold Gifford on May 6, 1990. They travelled to Mesa, Arizona for 19 years, and really enjoyed being snowbirds. Marjorie was always a kidder and liked to tease you a bit, any chance she could. She had an amazing sense of humor and laser sharp wit.
Marjorie is survived by two sons; Byron and James Kenney, one daughter Beverly (Dale) Wood, granddaughter Misty (Chris) Nagy, Grandson Brian Kenney as well as nieces, nephews, and extended families. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Margaret McKee, husbands, Ross Kenney and Harold Gifford, brother, Robert McKee, and sister-in-law, Clare McKee.

KHER
SHANTI KHER (Nanima) passed away peacefully in her home at Fairmont Extendicare, Lethbridge, Alberta on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the age of 97 years.
Shanti was predeceased by her parents, Jaswant Das Luthra (father) and Devaki Bai (mother), her husband, Tarlok Chand Kher and by her son, Ashok Kumar Kher.  She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and is survived by one daughter, Ramma Sawhney of Lethbridge, her grandchildren Anjana Sawhney- Burgess and Eric Burgess; one great-grandson Chethan James Ashok Burgess; her sisters, Saroj (Subhash) Saluja of Manchester, Sarla Hans of Delhi, India, Raj Arora of Pune, India.  Shanti is also survived by her dear friends, Gail, Leslie, Lucy, Lisa, Linda and Joyce, all who looked after Shanti and gave their best love and care.
Shanti was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable woman who loved her family dearly.  She was well loved for her humour, respect and generous spirit.  She accomplished much in her life, including being a teacher for six years and raising her two children.  Her life was a definition of true compassion and love.  She touched us all and our time with her was memorable.
A short Prayer/Puja service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 – Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:00 A.M.  Cremation will follow.

JOHN WELLS PRATT beloved husband of 67 years to Dixie, passed away Sunday September 29, 2013 at the age of 90 years. He was the last remaining of 10 children.

WIGGERS-WISSINK
GIZIENA “SINY” WIGGERS-WISSINK, of Lethbridge passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2013 at the age of 68 years, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her sons Ron (Diane), Michel and Davey. Also left to mourn her loss, are her grandchildren Ryan (Terena), Monique (Isaac), Chesney, Courtney & Brendan, and her great granddaughter Thea. She is also lovingly remembered by her sisters Hermi (Arie), and Rie and their children Danny, Renate and Peter, as well as numerous nieces and nephews all of the Netherlands.
Siny was born in Enschede, The Netherlands on June 7th, 1945. She married Hubert Wiggers in 1963. Their adventurous spirit led them to immigrate to Canada with their three young sons in 1981.
She’s always had a great love for flowers, so springtime in a greenhouse brought her pure joy. She loved music, reading and movies and was very excited to share them with others. She always reserved a special place in her heart for numerous animals as well. Home fashion was a great passion and she spent hours poring over magazines. She was passionate about her work. A job well done filled her with such pride. She retired from The Cypress Group in February of this year.
Siny was predeceased by her father Hermann Wissink in 1971, and her mother Geziena Wissink-Post in 1980.
A Memorial Service will be held celebrating Siny’s life at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, on Thursday, October 3rd, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
