Peter was born June 26, 1928, in Krakow, Poland to Michael and Kataryna Tymburski. As a toddler, Peter and his mother immigrated to Canada to join his father in Coaldale. He loved growing up and working on the family farm. He was the eldest child who loved and cared for his 4 younger sisters.
On January 9, 1954, he married Mary H. Wiens. Together they were blessed with two daughters and two sons. A significant turning point in Peter’s life came when he and his wife, Mary, gave their hearts and lives to the Lord.
His introduction to trucking was with Murray Transport. He began his lifelong trucking career for Mr. Al Foder owner of H & R Transport. He started with local grocery runs and expanded his driving to the western provinces and U.S. Despite being on the road, he was very devoted to his family. He retired in the early 1990’s from trucking.
A new chapter began with personal travelling, gardening and helping family and neighbors wherever and whenever help was needed.
In August 2000, Mary, his wife of 46 years passed away and went to be with her Lord and Saviour. After a time of mourning he prayerfully chose and married Katherine Wiens, April 20, 2002. Together they continued to enjoy their devotional life, travelling and gardening.
On Palm Sunday 2010, Peter suffered a major stroke which resulted in his being hospitalized and then moving to Good Samaritan Society – Park Meadows Village where he resided until his passing.
Through this life’s journey he continued to be steadfast in Bible reading and prayer, frequently ending his prayers with “Thank-you Heavenly Father for the freedom and abundance in this land”.
He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Kataryna Tymburski and his first wife Mary. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Katherine, children Gloria and Ron Dueck, Diane and Peter Starrenburg, William and Janet Tymburski, and Calvin and Anita Tymburski, grandchildren Trevor and Ashley Dueck, Darcy and Whitney Dueck, Barb and Terry Guse, Jeffery Starrenburg, Jordan, Ashley, Eric, Anthony and Joshua Tymburski, Jaclyn Tymburski, Jared and Julianna Tymburski and Ethan Tymburski and great-grandchildren Brennan Dueck and Jayden Guse. Much loved are his four sisters Mary Insley, Rose Zgurski, Sandra (Alfred) Ebner, and Leslie (Melvin) Barton; and also all of his very special nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday October 26, 2013 at the Coaldale Community Cemetery. A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 26, 2013 at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114-18 St., Coaldale, AB.
