CHARLES ROBERT HALE
(1932-2014)
Charles “Chas” Robert Hale, 82 years of age, beloved husband of Etta Hale of Blairmore, Alberta, passed away on May 17th, 2014, after a hard fought battle with cancer. Charles was born in Warner, Alberta on February 12th, 1932 to Andrew and Greta Hale.
Family and friends will miss the husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle we all came to know and love. We wish you well in your journey.

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

DONALD RAY HANSON
1952 ~ 2014
Mr. Donald Ray Hanson of Lethbridge passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the age of 61 years.
Don was born on September 30, 1952 in Lethbridge, AB to the late Mr. Melvin & Lois Hanson. Don took his schooling in Granum, and later obtained his Auto Mechanics Ticket.
Don is survived by his sisters Beverly (Ken) Hoglund, Joyce (Gerry) Reid; brother Wayne (Karon) Hanson; 11 nieces and nephews and one aunt Edna Metzger.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday May 28, 2014 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. Inurnment will take place prior to the service.

Anton (Tony) Mathew
October 28, 1938 – May 24, 2014
MR. ANTHONY “TONY” MATTHEW KOEHLER, of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away in his 76th year on May 24, 2014.
Born in Humboldt Saskatchewan Tony was one of thirteen children born to Florian and Anna Koehler.
Tony is survived by his three daughters Kelly Coram of Alliston, Ontario, Cheryl and Christine Koehler both of Toronto, Ontario; two sisters Marge Lemay of Abbotsford, BC and Mary Lenders of Calgary, Alberta; his former wife Diane Koehler of Wasaga Beach, Ontario; his three grandchildren Ryann, Benjamin and Dana; niece Glenda Horon who was like a daughter to him; as well as many loving nieces and nephews  and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of St Michael’s Covenant House Palliative Care for keeping Tony comfortable during his last few days.
Honoring his wishes there will not be a funeral service.

KOWALSKI
MR. STANLEY KOWALSKI, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at the Fairmont Extendicare on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at the age of 67 years.
He was born in Germany on November 13th 1946, to father Stanislaw Kowalski and mother Julia Krukowska Kowalski and was of Polish descent. He lived most of his life in Montreal, he studied at Concordia and McGill University in economics and business administration. His hobby was carpentry  and he loved to play golf and ski.
At the age of 45, he moved to Calgary at which point he was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease and lived the remainder of his life at the Extendicare Center on 13th Street North then moved to the Fairmont Extendicare where he lived the remainder of his days. He is the beloved brother of Christina Wozniak (Zygmunt Wozniak) uncle and Godfather to Danuta Wozniak (Frédéric Legault), Arthur Wozniak and a great uncle to Jean-Simon and Julia Legault.
He shall be dearly missed by his family and friends, Special thanks to all the Doctors, nurses and staff members of both centers who took Stanley’s care to heart.
A Visitation will take place at CORNERSTON FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Ab, on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 7:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.

JEAN ANNE SWIHART died May 21, in her 90th year. She is the beloved Mother of Ric and Sharon Swihart and Sandie and David Van Horne, the cherished Grandma and Great Grandma of Kristin and Jason Donkersgoed with Ryley, Braxton, Camryn and Maleigh; Heidi and Shawn Davis with Brinley, Luke and Nate, Lissa and Dave Miles, Bryn Swihart, Kalyn Swihart, Craig and Shelley Van Horne with Adelade and Xander: and Michael Van Horne.
Jean was born on the family farm near Senate, Saskatchewan to Bill and Nellie Sanderson. She was blessed with six siblings and a wholesome rural upbringing. She married the handsome Ted Swihart in 1944. They made their home in Fort Macleod, raising two kids, Ric and Sandra-Lee. Ted predeceased Jean in 1996. She is survived by her sisters Gail Korol and Delta Rempel, brother Lee Sanderson, and her large extended family, and many friends.
Jean will be remembered for her unfailing faith, unmatchable hospitality, contagious sense of humor and fun, genuine interest in people, great love of the prairies, and ability to see a celebration in an ordinary day!
A Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church in Fort Macleod with Rev. Eras VanZyl officiating. Homecoming inurnment will take place in Consul, SK.
Our family wishes to thank everyone who has lent support throughout Jean’s illness. Each kindness has been so very appreciated.

Lorraine Valerie Elizabeth Hansen (nee Rajala), peacefully joined her eternal companion, J. Norman Hansen on Friday, May 23, 2014 in Taber at the age of 84 years.

She was predeceased by her husband J. Norman Hansen, grandson Ian Hansen, parents Jack and Beatrice Rajala and brother Raymond Rajala.
Lorraine was born May 13, 1930 in Cranbrook, British Columbia and was raised mainly in Fort Macleod. As a young adult she moved to Taber to work as a telephone operator where she met Norman at a community dance. She served in various callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but her greatest calling, which brought her the most joy, was that of Wife, Mother, Grandmother and a Great one! Raising eight children on the farm kept her busy. Cooking and canning became a large part of her life and everyone loved to share the results of her labours. She loved spending time with family and loved visits from grandchildren. She was very proud of her family.
