MARIE ANTAL, loving wife of Dean Antal, passed away near Lethbridge on Monday, August 18, 2014.

BARNETT
DOROTHY BARNETT, beloved wife of Michael Barnett of Lethbridge, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the age of 73 years. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta on Thursday, August 21st, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Nathan Siray Celebrating.
Interment to follow in the Magrath Cemetery.

BLASCO
The family of MARY EDITH “EDIE” BLASCO, nee Mehew, beloved wife of Richard David Blasco of Lethbridge, is sad to announce that she passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2014. She is the loving mother of: Stephen (Kelsey), Ryan, and Matthew (Brittany); grandmother of: Rylan, Gage, Ryder, Gavin, and Harper. She leaves behind her sisters and a brother: Jean Christensen, Betty Wilde, John Mehew, Cookie Christensen, Karen Christensen, Sharon Ehlert, and Rae Powelson; and her father and mother-in-law, Richard and Joyce Blasco. She will also be sorely missed by her little dog “Dickens” and her best friend Sharon Tsujikawa.
Edie is predeceased by her father Leonard, mother Myrtle and brother Wayne. She ruled Lethbridge Ladies Slowpitch and was a terror at the bowling alley. Always a winner! Being a fossil hunter enthusiast, her home was bursting with dinosaur remnants. Her gift of gab and humor will always be remembered by anyone who crossed her path. Edie & Dave were never far apart, her being the best spotter of the two. They spent many happy times hunting and fishing together. Friends may meet the family on Friday ONLY, August 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the RAYMOND SENIORS CENTRE, 55 E, 100 N, Raymond.

CLARKE
KENNADY AMANDA CLARKE, beloved daughter of Danny and Sheena, and sister to Ethan and Josh, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the age of 10 years. She is also survived by her grandparents Greg (Nina) Ollenberg and Dan (Dianne) Clarke and Linda Clarke (Curt Sparvier) and numerous family members. Family and close friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 22 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home, 327-10 Street South, Lethbridge. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the EVANGELICAL FREE CHURCH, 4717-24 Avenue South, Lethbridge. A private family interment will be held. CRANE CHIEF
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of JACY MAURICE THERON CRANE CHIEF on August 11, 2014 in Cardston, AB at the age of 30 years. Jacy was born on October 10, 1983 to Wanda Crane Chief (Oliver) & biological father Jimmy (Belina) Doore. He leaves to mourn his siblings, Phillip, Shannon, Cobin and Caydence Crane Chief; step sister Eleanor Bad Arm; aunts & uncles Clarence, Lucien and Kelly Crane Chief, Calvin & Leon, Ronald (Rosemary) Across The Mountain, Evelyn (Patrick) Mills & Christine (Melvin) White Man; great uncles Martin Hairy Bull, Robert Bad Man & Pete Many Fingers; great aunts Mary Rose & Frances Gros Ventre Boy & Myrna Chief Moon. He was predeceased by his grandparents Dan & Eileen Crane Chief; siblings Preston & Abbygail Crane Chief. Jacy was a very quiet and humble person with a special talent for art. We will miss his humorous nature and kindness he showed to his friends and family. The Wake Service will be held at Moses Lake Gym on Thursday, August 21st from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. continuing all night at Wanda Crane Chief¹s residence. The Funeral Service will be held at the Moses Lake Gym on Friday, August 22nd at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Kissick officiating. Interment in the Pioneer Cemetery, Blood Reserve.

HELGA SABINA BECK
1942 ~ 2014
Mrs. Helga Sabina Beck of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mr. Peter Beck, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at the age of 71 years. Helga was a caring and devoted nurse for 45 years. She loved travelling and had a true appreciation for Waterton Lakes National Park. She was an animal lover and had many dogs over the years. Helga was a fantastic cook and baker, fancied taking walks, or being in her garden. Helga is survived by her two daughters Sonya Douglas and Charmen Janik (John); grandchildren Andrew and Brody Douglas; sister Sonia (Josef); brother Richard Jajszczok (Ivonne); nephews Max & Patrick Jajszczok and their families. JOHNSON
RUTH IDA ANTONETTE JOHNSON, beloved wife of Lee Johnson, of Lethbridge, passed away in Legacy Lodge on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She is the loving mother of: Sharon (Martin) Alcock of Calgary, Marion (Jim) Rasmussen of Bowden and Heather (Robert) Skakum of Lethbridge. Grandmother of Carla (Jason) Giebelhaus of Edmonton, Cristy (Cory) Whalen of Maclennan, Lindsey Skakum of Edmonton and Michelle Skakum of Lethbridge and great grandmother of Sarah & Bennett Whalen and Jack Giebelhaus. Ruth was born on February 8, 1923 in Regina, Saskatchewan where her family homesteaded at Richardson. They moved to Regina when she was 7. As the oldest of four children she was responsible for her siblings while her parents worked. After completing high school at Scott Collegiate, she attended secretarial school and then began working for the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) and returned there after the war. On March 2, 1943 she joined the RCAF Women¹s Division and was assigned to administration offices in Fingal then Trenton, Ontario. As a Corporal at the end of WWII she closed down both Fingal and Trenton Air Force bases. She married Leland (Lee) Johnson of Viscount, Saskatchewan in Regina on January 29th, 1949 and moved to Lethbridge where they were happily married for 62 years. Lee passed away July 7th, 2011 and is sorely missed. Ruth and Lee were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and were active in their church family. Ruth coordinated Creative Fingers, an active group who made quilts for Lutheran World Relief and sold quilts to raise funds for church projects. Ruth and Lee were enthusiastic junior hockey season- ticket holders. She enjoyed family photography, playing cards and board games and the cartoon ³The Family Circle². Ruth spent many hours sewing quilts and weeding their beautiful garden. Another thing Ruth and Lee were passionate about was travelling. They took memorable trips across Canada, the Eastern States, Sweden, Norway, Alaska, Hawaii, Yugoslavia and Bermuda. A Funeral Service will be held at the LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD – 2406 11th Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tom Peterson officiating. Mrs. Regina Barker, of Lethbridge, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the age of 85 years.

VIVIAN MAY TERRY, beloved wife of the late Richard ³Dick² Terry, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Therese Villa on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 88 years.  A Family Graveside Service will be held in Regina, Saskatchewan at a later date.

TSCHETTER
FRANK TSCHETTER, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away peacefully with family by his side on August 19, 2014 at the age of 85 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 60 years, Elizabeth Tschetter; sons Edward (Rachel), Sam (Betty Ann), Mike (Bertha), and Martin; daughters Sara (Rev. Jake) Marlin, Esther (Peter) Marlin, Betty (Paul) Raymore, Margaret (Darius) Marlin, Kathy (Rev. Herb) Schoonover and Miriam; 40 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; one sister Mary (Riverside) and 2 sisters-in-law Susie & Barbara. Frank was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Sara; brothers Peter, Paul, Joseph, and George; one grandson Peter; sisters Anna (Lavoy), Sara (West Bench), Susie (High River), Katie (Riverside). Frank was born in Macleod, AB on June 29, 1929, moved to Riverside in 1939, and married on June 28, 1954. He was the German School Teacher for 40 years and a devoted gardener for 40 years. His last years were spent admonishing young folks and teaching the gospel. He was always ready to share his wisdom and advice. ³A Heart of gold stopped beating …Hard working hands were laid to rest.² The Funeral Service will be held at the Riverside Colony on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Riverside Colony Cemetery.

Wilhelm Thiessen, beloved husband of Anna Thiessen, passed away in Bow Island on Monday, August 18, 2014 at the age of 52 years.
