CLARY
RUTH CLARY, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at the age of 67 years.
Ruth is the loving mother of Kelly Rayne and Paula Reed (Peter Kelly) of Lethbridge. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael O¹Neil, Cody and Jordan Reed, Levi Stoyles and Chance Rayne, two great grandchildren, Lucius and Syliss Reed, one sister, Jean (Buck) Warren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Julia, one brother John, one sister Aleeyta and an infant brother Leslie. Ruth was born September 16, 1946 in Islay, AB where her parents homesteaded. Her early schooling was in Rocky Mountain House, where her parents farmed and taught school. She completed her schooling in Pincher Creek. Ruth met Paul Clary and they were married in 1967. They then moved to Edmonton. Ruth later moved to Lethbridge and lived there and in Pincher Creek for the next 30 years. Ruth was a caregiver in heart and soul. She was a loyal friend to many and loved to cook and entertain. Ruth loved music and had a beautiful voice and could play the guitar. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Terry Shillington officiating. LILLIAN EDEY, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Gordon Edey, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the age of 68 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced when completed.

FERGUSON
Lesley Ellen Ferguson (nee Elliott) formerly of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away peacefully on Sept. 15, 2014 following a two year battle with cancer. Lesley was born July 6, 1954 in Montreal, Quebec to Douglas and Shirley Elliott. Married to John Ferguson, the love of her life, for 27 years, they were blessed with twins; Bonnie and Richard. A devoted wife and mother, Lesley loved a good cup of coffee, an interesting debate, loud music, the Habs, a good bargain, to laugh out loud and all things turquoise. Lesley was a kind and gentle soul, she had a caring and generous heart and was always giving to others. She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her siblings; Jane Boyd (Steve), Nancy Elliott and Phillip Elliott; Father and Mother-in-Law Richard and Marjorie Ferguson, Sister-in-Law Joanne Baillie (Brian); and nieces and nephews; Stuart, Shelley, Kristen, Hugh, and Allie. Lesley will be forever missed by her family and a host of lifelong friends. A service will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at 1:00pm at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, 411 11 St S, Lethbridge, AB. At Lesley¹s request, a Celebration of Life filled with laughter, music and memories will be held Friday, Sept. 26 from 7 – 10 PM at Lethbridge Moose Lodge 792, 1401 5 Ave. N, Lethbridge, AB. “Please wear your favourite band t-shirt and bring your stories².

HELEN MAY MIDDLETON, beloved wife of the late Robert Middleton, passed away in Lethbridge on Wednesday, September 17th, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Helen will be dearly missed by her 4 children: Catherine Pishton (Leonard Preas) of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Dawn Middleton (Dave Kulyk) of Calgary, Dr. Cameron Middleton of Lethbridge and Blair (Hazel) Middleton of London, Ontario. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Vincent, Alana and Jordanna Pishton; Emily and Gillian Middleton; and her sister Aileen Shiells. Helen was predeceased by her best friend and husband Robert (Bob) Middleton in 2007; daughter Roberta Lea in 1958, her sister June Ens in 2010, and her parents Earl and Alice. Helen was born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan on March 25, 1924. After the Second World War, Helen worked for the Canada Unemployment Insurance Commission where she met her future husband. Helen married Robert on September 20th, 1950 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In 1958 employment brought Bob to Lethbridge, and this is where Helen focused on raising her ‘family first’. In memory of Helen, a memorial donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, #207 – 542 7th St. S., Lethbridge, AB, T1J 2H1 or to the Arthritis Society (Lethbridge). A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge on Monday, September 22nd at 11:00 A.M. (meet at main gate by 10:55 A.M.).

God has called home our angel, Bruce Emanuel Jr oka – crying head, born on September 4, 2014, passed away on September 14, 2014 in Calgary, AB at the Rotary Flames House. PETER MACK
1918 ~ 2014
The family of Peter Joseph Mack, sadly but joyfully announce his peaceful passing to be with the Lord, on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Good Samaritan¹s Vista Village in Pincher Creek at the age of 92 years. Peter is survived by his two daughters, Judith Gordon (Gary) of Calgary and Norma Reynolds (George) of Pincher Creek. His grandchildren, Lori, Allison (George) Malhi, Lesley (Jan) Klinec and Keith (Nicole) Reynolds. His great grandchildren, Victoria Gordon, Tyson, Jasmine and Evan Malhi, Dawson and Abigail Reynolds step great grandsons, Gary Malhi and Jakub Klinec as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Dad was born on the family farm close to Glaslyn Saskatchewan, moved to southern Alberta as a teenager and eventually resided in Coaldale after marrying Nettie and started to raise a family. Dad started working for the CPR and worked for over 30 years retiring in 1979. Dad and Mom loved to garden and as a result had lots of produce to share with anyone who would take it. Dad also rototilled many gardens in Coaldale and was well known for this. He loved to help people and took great pleasure in his senior years (80-93) driving friends to go shopping or appointments. Dads health failed enough he could not live alone and came to live with Norma for a year and a half, further failing health Dad moved to the assisted living facility in Pincher Creek where he passed. Besides his loving wife Nettie who passed away in 2007, Peter experienced the passing of his parents all of his brothers and sisters, son Phillip, his infant grandson Kenneth Roy and infant great grandchild Marissa Ann. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, September 22, 2014 at COALDALE MENNONITE CHURCH, 2316 ­ 17 Street, Coaldale, AB. Flowers are gratefully declined. TAKAHASHI
SHIGEO B. TAKAHASHI, beloved husband of 66 years to Hisako Takahashi, passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 17, 2014. “Shin” is remembered by his children: Wayne (June), Ina (Bob), Eldon (Dianne), Eileen (Dewey), Edie (Doug), Darcy (Pete – deceased), Lisa (Doug), 12 grandchildren and 22 1/2 great grandchildren. Shin is survived by his sister Machiye Ichii in Japan. He was predeceased by Matsuyo, Tote, Tak, Joe, Tom, Yukiko, Fudiko. Shin was born in Raymond on June 10, 1918. He served in World War II from June 10, 1941 to February 6, 1946. He returned home and married his sweetheart, Hisako Takahashi on December 1, 1948. He and Hisako were a part of the “gang” including Jack and Louise Nishiyama, Mas and Miyo Sunada ­ oh yes, they had some fun activities together! He loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favourite things to do were playing the organ while the kinds sang along, day road trips, bowling, golfing, fishing, lapidary, and bingo. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13 Street North, Lethbridge. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

Trevor Amos Golobic, son of Dan and Karma Golobic, was born July 27, 1988 in Port Alberni and grew up to be a zealous music lover, a portrait artist, a dazzling climber / tumbler and an irreplaceable friend. He was known for his compassion for spiders, his wild laughter and his extravagant hair. As a man of principle, he sacrificed for what he loved and believed in. His friends and family are very much poorer at his passing. A funeral service will be officiated by Roger Fields at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Osoyoos, BC. Interment will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. It is with great sadness that we announce John Frederick Zaretski passed away surrounded by family at the St. Michael¹s Health Centre September 16, 2014. John will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. John was born December 15, 1926 in Grenfell Saskatchewan to Emilie (Litke) / Zaretzki and Wilhelm Zaretzki. Baptized by Pastor Mondinger in the Lutheran church in Grenfell Saskatchewan: John Frederick. There were seven children in the family, three girls and four boys. John grew up on a homestead two and one half miles west and a mile and a half south of Archerwill Saskatchewan. He attended Echo Park and Archerwill schools. John is predeceased by his infant children Carman Nov 21/60 and Robert Dec 6/63, granddaughter Christine Jan 6/90, daughter-in-law Caroline Jan 4/10 and daughter-in-law Lorraine May 11/10. He is also predeceased by many other relatives including his father-in-law Andrew Honnef March 29/77, brother-in-law Elmer Olson April/77, uncle Emanuel Dec.16/77, mother Emilie May 20/78, father Wilhelm April 01/91, sister Freda (Fay) July 03/95, brother-in-law Allen Parrington Nov. 29/95, mother-in-law Mary Honnef March 04/97, cousin Ingrid Grobl in 2001, aunt Ida Borchardt March 11/04, aunt Minnie Zaretzki Jan 03/05, sister Elsie Sanchuck Dec 03/06, brother-in-law Edgar Dukes Sept.06/06, sister Mary Parrington July 24/09, uncle Willi Borchardt Oct. 12/12.
