Mr. Cornelis Verloop of Nobleford, beloved husband of Mrs. Nelly Verloop, passed away peacefully in sure and certain hope of eternal life on November 1, 2014 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital at the age of 77 years. DAVIES
HERBERT RONALD DAVIES, beloved husband of the late Elsie Davies of Stavely, passed away at the Pincher Creek Hospital, on Sunday, November 9th, 2014 at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his son Jim (Cathy) Davies of Lethbridge, AB, daughter Carole (Dave) Sekella of Willow Valley, AB, grandchildren; Alissa, Kyle, Caitlin, Matthew as well as siblings Eric, Phyllis, Margaret, Tony, Ken & Susan.
Ron is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was predeceased by his wife Elsie, brother Gerald and sister Brenda, as well as parents Herbert and Amy Davies. At Ron’s request, a private family memorial service will be held.

POOLE
William “Bill” Ellsworth Poole, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014, at the age of 86 years, beloved husband of Catherine Poole of Bow Island. He also leaves to cherish his memory four children, Noel Doherty, his son-in-law Larry Doherty, George (Debbie) Poole, Stewart (Cheryl) Poole and Linda (Calvin) Dyck; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie (Robert) and their daughter Ava, Michael and his son Brady, Jamin (Becky), Colin (Ina), Nicole, Alicia (Kyle) and Kyla and their mother Laurie, Jordana (Brent), Caden (Kelsey) and Taryn; two step grandchildren, Tyler (Ashley) and Jessica (Kurtis) and their children Carter and Mason; his sister, Juanita Wilkins; and two brothers-in-law, George (Jewel) Comstock and Bob (Rosemary) Comstock as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by parents, William and Mildred Poole as well as his brother-in-law Stan Wilkins. Bill Poole was born in Medicine Hat, December 25, 1927. He attended Brownsdale Country School, Burdett School, and Senator Gershaw in Bow Island. Bill took his last year of high school at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute living with his Clark Grandparents. He worked for 1.5 years at the Bank of Commerce in Lethbridge. For several years Bill farmed in the summer and took further education at Olds College and SAIT. He spent one winter selling Forney Welders. Bill married the love of his life Catherine (Cathy) Comstock of Rosebud on March 12, 1955 in Calgary. They farmed on the original Poole Family Homestead until 1992, then retired to Bow Island. During their farming career, they were initiated to irrigation in 1956 and spent most of their farming life developing dryland to irrigation, producing hay, grain, grain corn, sugar beets, dry beans, peas, lentils and even onions. He was one of the pioneers of the dry bean industry in Southern Alberta. Bill always enjoyed music, dancing, travelling and imparting his wisdom with anyone who would listen. He enjoyed visiting with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and keeping in close touch with his sister and her family, and Cathy’s brothers and their families and many close friends. Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the St. Andrew¹s United Church, Bow Island on Friday, November 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Crittenden officiating. It is with profound sadness that the family of Margaret Catherine Wigelsworth announce her passing on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, Alberta. Mother was devoted to family and friends and she was keenly interested in hearing the details of our life experiences. She loved meeting people and extended her friendship to all. Her thoughtful nature, spunky personality and varied interests enabled her to cultivate a large circle of friends that she valued deeply. Margaret is survived by her children David Rylands, Pat Warren (Ken) and Doug Rylands; grandsons Warren Rylands (Christina), Michael Warren (Meredith) and Matthew Warren (Stacey); brothers John Hamilton and Hugh Hamilton (Loreen) and their families. She is also survived by Alan¹s children Don Wigelsworth (Angela) and Laura Schmidt (Fred); grandchildren Alana (Dan), Jaydon (Kellie), Chelsea (Dwight), Paula (Nick), Michael (Shelley) and Emily (Troy). Margaret was predeceased by husbands Don Rylands and Alan Wigelsworth; brothers Bob, Gordon, Earl, Joe, Roy and Wilson; sisters Nadine and Madlyn and grandson Allen Schmidt. Margaret is also survived by many dear cousins, nephews and nieces.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff and nurses of the Foothills Hospital Unit 32 as well as the Sarcee Hospice for their great care and compassion.
