PATRICIA ELAINE DUDLEY passed away in Lethbridge on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at the
age of 72 years, beloved wife of Alan W. Dudley of Magrath.
The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints,
MAGRATH STAKE CENTER on Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Friends may meet the family at the Church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Service.
 Interment will follow at the Magrath Cemetery.

FREDERICK ARMES
The family of the late Frederick (Fred) Victor Armes sadly announce his passing in
Lethbridge, Alberta on May 16, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Born in Malvern, UK to the
late Alberta (Bertie Steeves) Armes and Victor Armes of Jordan Lifecare Center,
Riverglade, NB, he was also the beloved big brother to Michael of Hillsborough, NB,
Sharon of Shediac, NB and Vicky of Moncton, NB. He also leaves behind his friend and
former spouse Rose (Pineau) Armes of Chestermere, Alberta, a niece, 3 nephews and
several cousins. A valiant heart stopped, but his love and laughter will be felt and
remembered forever. Interment has taken place at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Salisbury
Road, Moncton, NB.

LAGLER
Mom has gone dancing with Dad.
It is with great sadness in our hearts we announce that JOYCE LAGLER passed away
surrounded by family at the Chinook Regional Hospital on December 12, 2014.
Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Bob and their daughter Wendy.
Joyce was also predeceased by her parents Clemance and Emily Pirock, as well as her
sisters, Beatrice Luchansky and Elenor Toll.
Joyce will be deeply missed by her daughters Robin (Ron) Winter, Patti (Tom) Gardiner;
grandchildren Jen (Chris) Mueller and Rob Gardiner; her beloved great grandson
Sebastian Mueller; and her sister Sharon (Dallas) Kindopp.
Joyce was wholly devoted to her family. She always put their needs before her own.
Joyce and Bob were very active throughout their lives. She loved dancing, curling,
camping, water skiing and golfing. She also loved her yard and in later years, spent a
great deal of time gardening. Joyce made a lasting impression on anyone who had the
pleasure of knowing her.
The family would like to thank Dr. Strank for his years of care. Thank-you, as well, to
Dr. Hunt , Dr. Szobota and the Nurses that cared for her in the ICU at the Chinook
Regional Hospital.
A Private Family Graveside service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY on December
19, 2014.

EILEEN MARIE LONG
Jan. 11, 1928 – Nov. 10, 2014
It is with deep sorrow and much sadness to announce the passing of a dear wife, mother
and grand-mother who slipped away peacefully with gentle care at the Chinook Regional
Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Besides Jim, her loving husband and best friend of 64 years, Eileen is survived by her
daughter Sharon (Dale) Kanashiro, grandson Ryan, and son Mark (Helena Kuzminski-Vedres)
Long, step-granddaughter Fayla Vedres (Cam), sister-in-law Eleanor Ziebarth and her
children Robert and (son) Andrew, Diane (Bill), and Craig (Angelo).
Eileen was predeceased by her eldest son, Christopher, in 2011.
Eileen’s devotion for her church had extended over 40 years as a member of the
Sanctuary Guild. Her passion motivated her to include Sunday school teachings all while
effortlessly raising 3 children. Her faithful ardor to family and God radiated in all
she did. Eileen will be greatly missed for her gentle spirit and her kind, softhearted
approach to life.
Our family would like to take this time in giving our sincerest gratitude to the staff
of St. Therese Villa for their commendable care and a special thanks to Dr. E. Jansen,
the medical staff at Family Medical Clinic and all attending doctors and nurses on Unit
3C for their assistance and tremendous support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Eileen’s memory to the St. Augustine
Church Endowment Fund, 405-11 St. South, Lethbridge, Alberta T1J 2N9.
A Memorial Service will be held at ST. AUGUSTINE’S CHURCH, 405-11 Street South,
Lethbridge, Alberta, on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon
James Robinson officiating and assisted by Reverend Andrew Horne.

McGEE
JOHN “SAM” MCGEE, beloved husband of the late Elsie McGee, passed away peacefully on
Monday, December 15, 2014 at the age of 95, having lived a good long life.
John was born in Scotland on August 20, 1919. At the age of 10, his family moved to
Canada, and settled in Hamilton, Ontario. John joined the RCAF in 1942 and arrived in
England in 1943. He flew with the RAF until the end of WWII. After the war, he became
one of the first helicopter pilots in the RCAF, flying helicopters and bush planes on
Search and Rescue duties in the Yukon. During that time, he married May Docherty, and
together they had three sons. He retired from the RCAF in 1964, and moved his family to
Lethbridge. John worked for Canada Post as a letter carrier in Lethbridge for many
years. He met and married Elsie Litle in 1972. After retiring, John and Elsie spent
several years camping, travelling and enjoying family and friends.
John is survived by his sons Michael, Kevin (Norma) and Daniel (Kiyomi) and their
children and grandchildren. He also leaves behind the large extended family of the
Litle clan from Fort MacLeod, as well as many nephews and nieces.
John was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Jane, his 10 siblings, his first wife,
May Docherty in 1960, and his second wife, Elsie Litle, in 2001.
A Celebration of John’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor
Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. with
Deacon Frank Peta officiating.
In lieu of flowers, take your loved ones out for dinner, and share a few corny jokes.
That is what Sam would have wanted.

Late of Big Valley, Alberta.
Jim passed away with family by his side at the hospice in Red Deer after a lengthy
illness.
Jim was predeceased by his wife Yvonne Paul (Simpson), his parents James & Jessie Paul,
and his brother Bob.
He is survived by his children Jim Paul Jr. (Arlene Oswald), and Tammie-Lynn Paul and
her husband (Andy Holden), his Grandchildren, great Grandchildren, Sister Pat Brandon
(Ray), many nieces and nephews, and numerous dear and beautiful friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Jim’s life at Pheasantback cc
in Stettler, AB on May 30th, 2015. A day to pay tribute and share “Old Jim” stories,
play some cards and/or golf.

We the family of Pamelia May Slade (Nee Jones), announce her peaceful passing on
December 12, 2014 surrounded by her family.
Mom left to mourn her children: Dawn (Les), Ronald Lance, and Sheldon ( Donna);
grandchildren Shasta and Robert Clay (Patricia); great grandchildren Trinity Dawn,
Darcy and Rochelle; nieces and nephews Karen (Lorne), Darryl, Ian, Jo-anne, Lise,

siblings, August (Evelyn) Tschritter, David (Gwen) Tschritter, Rose (Bob) Herdman and
by numerous nieces and nephews.  
She was predeceased by her parents Dave and Magdelena Tschritter, her son-in-law Rick
Clarke and by her nephew Brian Tschritter.
Margaret was born in Cardston on June 11, 1931. She lived in Foremost for most of her
early life and later, with her five young children, moved to Taber which would remain
her home until her passing. After her kids were grown, she worked as a dietary aide at
the Taber Hospital for twenty one years, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. Margaret loved
her flowers, the colour red and above all her children, grandchildren and her precious
great grandchildren. She was eagerly awaiting the addition of a new great grand baby in
the New Year.

Bernard Joseph Kress, passed away in Taber on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the age
of 85 years.
