Following the conclusion of Ilo¹s military service they settled in Mountain View where Ilo engaged in ranching and Beatrice became an extraordinary mother and homemaker. They eventually settled on property located at the north end of Payne Lake west of Mountain View and ran a successful ranching operation for some 45 years. It was during these years that Beatrice became the office manager of Simmental Breeders Cardston Ltd. and worked in that capacity for many years. Beatrice was a kind, generous and loving woman who was devoted to church and family. Throughout her life she held various callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and in 1999 she and Ilo served a mission to the Toronto Ontario Temple.
