FLAIG
HELEN MARGARET FLAIG (nee Hummason), passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Lethbridge, following a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer¹s Disease. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Lloyd Flaig. Born on December 31, 1929 in Nokomis, Saskatchewan, she is survived by Lloyd and their four children: Don (Adele), Vernon (Wanda), Audrey, and Stephen (Mari-Lynn), and the grandchildren: Renee, Brandy, Brad, Cameron, Emilie (Bryn Hewko), and Bishop. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703- 13 Street North at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2015. GERARDINA BROBBEL
Gerardina Brobbel of Fort Macleod, beloved wife of the late Klaas Brobbel Sr. passed away on February 11, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Gerardina is survived by her children: Kees (Nel) Brobbel, Bill (Janny) Brobbel, Ali Vroegindewey, Nanja (Dirk) Struck, Koos (Gerda) Brobbel, Klaas (Sara) Brobbel, Geraldine (Henk) Vandenberg, Lodewyk (Rena) Brobbel, Esther (Ken) Smit, thirty-eight grandchildren and thirty-eight great grandchildren. Besides her loving husband Klaas, Gerardina was predeceased by her grandson-in-law Adrian Veldman (2002). She is survived by one brother and numerous relatives in The Netherlands.
Thank you to Dr.Beekman, Fort Macleod Home Care and LFS staff, Palliative Care Team, Community Support Bed staff and the Fort Macleod Extendicare staff for all the personal, professional, loving care she received during her illness. JUNE 30, 1938 ~ FEBRUARY 11, 2015
It is with great sadness Mr. Darius Hofer, beloved husband and father passed on to be with our Lord and Savior. With his family by his side on February 11, 2015 at the East Raymond Colony. At the age of 76 years. Darius was born to Reverend George and Anna Hofer on June 30th 1938 at Wolf Creek Colony. He married the love of his life Rachel Stahl on November 30th 1958. Later moved to East Raymond were he resided until his passing. At the age of 22 years he became a German school teacher. He was also a mechanic, plumber, electrician, gardener, blacksmith and duck keeper. Darius was a hard worker. He was a very kindhearted and giving person. He was always ready to lend a hand. He will be greatly missed by Family and Friends. Besides his loving wife Rachel, Darius is survived by (two) sons Edward (Lydia), and George of East Raymond, (Five) daughters (Ed) Susanna of Lajord SK, (Robert) Rebecca of Wolf Creek, (Robert) Lydia of Fords Creek (Montana), (Johnny) Martha of Mornville, and (Robert) Barbara of Pincher Creek. Three Sisters (Paul) Elizabeth of Swift Current SK, Reverend (Josh) Susie of Viking and (Ben) Katherine of Pincher Creek. 28 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Two sister in-laws, Rebecca and Susie, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to numerous to name. Darius was predeceased in death by his parents Reverend George and Anna Hofer and maternal in-laws Paul and Mary Stahl, Four brothers George, Joshua, Michael and David, three sisters Annie, Katherina and baby sister. MARLENE ANN REMPEL of Raymond passed away peacefully at the Raymond Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the age of 66 years. She is survived by her mother, Ilene Rempel, brother Terry, sister Darlene and close and dear friend Candace Clendenning. Marlene also leaves behind 32 Œgreat¹ nieces and nephews. She always put her heart and soul in any pursuit that she undertook. She especially enjoyed her career as a teacher and coach and was an avid traveller, family history buff, reader and crafter. In earlier years she enjoyed synchronized swimming, volleyball, basketball and softball. In recent years Marlene has positively and courageously faced numerous health issues. She will be long remembered for her kindness and generosity. The funeral will take place at the TAYLOR STREET CHAPEL of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Raymond starting at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 14, 2015. Friends and neighbours may meet the family between 10:00 am and 10:45am prior to the funeral service. Bishop Greg Smith officiating. Mrs. Vera Quinton of Lethbridge passed away suddenly after a lengthy illness at West Highland Good Samaritans on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Born on February 2, 1922 in Kamsack, SK to Mike and Mabel Kabatoff. Vera lived in Cardston & Glenwood before moving to Lethbridge to retire.
She is survived by her two sons Jarvis (Lynne) Quinton, and Dexter Quinton, both of Lethbridge; four grandchildren Tony, Travis, Casey & Jennifer; and five great- grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Vera was predeceased by her loving husband Walter; her parents Mike & Mabel Kabatoff; two brothers Mike & John, her sister Ann; her son Eric. WILLIAMS, HELEN MCLAREN
October 25, 1918 to February 8, 2015
With our hearts filled with sadness and love, we said good-bye to our dear Mom, Grandma and G.G. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Trish & Glen Gurr, 12 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. “Grandma Dynamite” leaves us with many loving and funny memories from her long and fulfilled life. She was predeceased by her husband Bob, daughter Karen, son Jim as well as all 6 of her siblings.
