Mabel (Vaage) Jordan of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Bernard Jordan, passed away on March 2, 2015 at the age of 94 years. Together Mabel and Bernard raised their four children, Reg, Wendy, Trudy and Randy at their home where friends and family were always welcome. Born on August 13, 1920 in Norway, she was proud of her Norwegian heritage but was especially proud of being a Canadian and an Albertan, loving the brilliant sunshine, blue sky and wind-swept prairie of southern Alberta. A hard worker, devoted to family and friends, she had a strong social conscience and worked for the betterment of others less fortunate. The lessons we learned from Mom are about the value of hard work, honesty, strength, compassion and obligation; the wisdom of moderation and occasional intemperance; as well as dedication to family and society.
