BUELLA HILDA TUDOR

BUELLA HILDA TUDOR , beloved wife of the late Elza Tudor, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the age of –100 years. Buella was born in Newington, Stormont, Ontario on May 10, 1914. She passed away on March 6th, 2015 at her beloved Lethbridge. She was the seventh child of eight children. The Forsythe family enjoyed many comforts when the fortunes prospered but these were reversed following WWI. At the age of 4 she travelled westward with her family until they settled in Regina, Saskatchewan. These hardships and the depression during her formative years led her to leave school by the age of 15. Working her way as a hired girl, she followed her sister Laura to southern Alberta. Here she met and married Elza Tudor. They bought a farm and settled down to develop a home and raise four children; Lloyd, Donna (Allan Gregor), Patricia (Glenn Allan) and Judith. Mom was always interested in improving her education. The radio was always viewed as informative and farm news magazines were purchased. She and her husband developed a small dairy and poultry business. All of her children finished high school, had music, art, and dance exposure, and encouraged to pursue further education. Social issues were very important to her and she contributed to many good community causes. In her later years mom spent many happy hours raising a garden. She loved her family and got pleasure from her grandchildren: John, Nicole, Michael, and Stephan Gregor; Christy and Jacqueline Tudor; Russell, Trevor and Todd Merrick. Her great grandchildren are Jesse, Zackery and Jasmine Jefferey and Alisha Gregor. Mom was predeceased by her husband Elza after 70 years of marriage, Jacqueline Tudor, Trevor Merrick, Russell Merrick and Jesse Jefferey. A Graveside Service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY – 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Tuesday, March 10th, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. An open house will follow.

WIGHT
DOROTHY MAE (LOOSE) WIGHT beloved wife and best friend of Deloy Wight passed away on February 28, 2015 at the age of 83. Dorothy and Deloy raised 6 wonderful children; Sheila (Garry) Ratzlaff, LeeAnn (Roger) Call, Corey (Merrill) Wight, Lonnie (Kevin) Konefall, Julie (Lyle) Roberts, and Donna (Darren) Young. They also have 20 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Her children and grandchildren willingly shared her with many people who loved her and adopted her as their mother and grandmother, and each one held a special place in her heart. Dorothy leaves behind one brother, Courtney Loose, whom she has adored since he was born. Dorothy is predeceased by her parents, Awold and Pearl Loose; her brothers Gordon, Lamar, Morgan and Sheldon; her in-laws, Clarence and Esther Wight; her oldest daughter Sheila Ratzlaff, and her oldest grandson Christopher Call as well as many other family members and friends who we know have been anxiously awaiting her arrival into their loving arms again.
Dorothy was special and loved by everyone that knew her. She was kind and loving and saw the good in everything; even through her trials she remained positive and never lost her sense of humor that we all loved. She quietly served and shared her many talents with everyone around her. Dorothy was well known for her porcelain dolls. She taught classes to over 1500 women and girls where each one of them was able to take a beautiful doll home. She was a loving wife and mother who always put her family¹s needs before her own. Dorothy was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of her loving Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ. This was apparent in every facet of her life and she was a great example to her children and grandchildren. She faithfully served in many church callings throughout her life. She, along with Deloy, served a mission for the Church in Tonga and fell in love with the Tongan people and again adopted a few along the way that called her Mom. Dorothy fell in love with and married her sweetheart and best friend Deloy for time and all eternity 65 years ago on October 19, 1949. It¹s hard to talk about Dorothy without Deloy because they were truly companions in everything. Their love story and life together has truly been an inspiration to many, especially to her children and grandchildren. Friends may meet the family at LEGACY FUNERAL HOME on Friday, March 13 from 7-8 pm or at the church on Saturday, March 14 from 10-10:45 prior to the service. The Funeral Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in MOUNTAIN VIEW, Alberta on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 11am with Bishop Dennis Baker officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
