With sadness but wonderful memories, the family of Julie McMillan announces her passing. Predeceased by her husband Edwin as well as three sisters and four brothers, Julie leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish the loving and fun times spent in the company of a very special aunt with a most infectious laugh. Julie never got old in the eyes of her family always remaining young at heart and making the most of every day. She enjoyed a long career with the Lethbridge Herald and then pursued her own interests in retirement.

A special thank you to Martha House for providing an environment in which Julie felt so at home. Also a thank you to the staff at the Chinook Regional Hospital for the care given to Julie and her family while she was in Palliative Care.

At Julie’s request, there will be no funeral. A private family interment will take place in Calgary.

WHITE

VADA MAURINE (BROWN) WHITE, beloved wife of the late Richard White of Magrath, Alberta, passed away at the Raymond Hospital Monday, November 30, 2015 at the age of 79.

She is predeceased by her parents Walter Edwin Brown and Vada (Crookston) Brown of Magrath, and her brother Daniel Brown.

She is survived by her sister Sylvia Bourne, sister-in-law Vauna Brown, 11 nieces and nephews, and Richard’s children David and Mandy.

Maurine’s great love of music was framed by her parents’ nurture from birth and many years of study. This opened doors to her lifetime of service as a talented pianist and organist. As a graduate of Magrath High School (where she was accompanist for the operetta The Mikado), she began her education degree at U of A Edmonton. Following the footsteps of her Dad and brother Dan, Maurine completed this degree at BYU. In her dedicated career as teacher for over 39 years, she lovingly influenced the lives of hundreds of elementary children in Alberta and Utah.

Maurine found relaxation and fun caring for her kitties, in creative handwork, travel, water skiing, gardening, and friendships.

Living in BC, she and her husband worked closely in the company which they formed, M & R Trucking Company. Their love of RV travel linked them to friends and family, forming treasured memories. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Cardston Temple and filled many positions in the LDS Church.

Maurine will be missed by her dearest friends: Ellen, Myrna, Donna and so many others who were in her loved circle of support.

The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, GARDEN PLACE CHAPEL, Magrath, with Bishop Ryan Anderson officiating.

ZENTNER

It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic death of FAITH ANN ZENTNER. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the age of 51 years.

Faith leaves an incredible legacy that her husband Ralph and their two sons will cherish forever.

She is the loving mother of Chad (Sarah Drost) Zentner, Travis (Kinga) Zentner and a proud grandmother to Emma, Jaxon, Rowynn and Carter.

Faith will be lovingly remembered by Ralph’s family: mother Emilie and siblings-in-law, Mary Lea (Ken) Bassett, Elaine (John) Gill, Estelle (Garry) Lux, Gerard (Maureen) Zentner and Peggy Ann (Brad) Zeran as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Faith is survived by her parents Alvin and Joanne Oberhammer and three brothers: Laverne (Michelle), Keith and Harold Oberhammer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Faith will also be remembered by her adopted families from the Blood Reserve: Fox, Day Chief, Day Rider, Wells, Creighton, White Quills, Crow Shoe, and First Rider families.

Faith was honored to receive her Blackfoot name given by our adopted grandmother Rosie Day Rider (deceased) “Ahkoinimaki” (Holy Pipe Woman).

Our Cornerstone Family will also remember the sparkplug of a boss who had great expectations, had our best interests at heart and had many deep meaningful conversations with all the staff. Faith had a unique ability to gather many good friends that will remember her in their own way.

She was predeceased by her grandparents, Harold and Jesse Fischer and by her father-in-law Edward Zentner.

Faith was born on August 6, 1964 in Red Deer but was raised and educated in Lacombe. After graduating high school she moved to Calgary to enter a career in funeral service. It was at the funeral home where she met Ralph and they were married in 1984. Following the birth of their two children they moved to Lethbridge to take over management of a local funeral home. Faith was very proud to be the first female funeral director in Lethbridge. In 1995 Faith and Ralph opened their own funeral home and were so proud to give back to the communities of Southern Alberta. They celebrated their 20th anniversary on November 5th, 2015 with their “20 Days of Giving Campaign”.

Faith was an incredibly passionate woman who could light up any room she entered. Her inner strength and beauty shined through. Most will remember her incredible smile. She was a force to be reckoned with, soft and pretty, yet tough and gutsy. She leaves a giant void. We will all miss her very much. She has touched so many lives.

Faith was like a flower; dancing with the wind and never gave up her roots. She was sensitive and this is what made her strong. Beyond all, she was beautiful, unique and timely. She loved having our funeral home beautifully decorated, inside and out with flowers and plants. Faith had a true appreciation for flowers so in saying that, they would be gratefully accepted by the family. Donations may also be made in Faith’s name to a charity of your choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at ST. MARTHA’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 355 Columbia Blvd. West, Lethbridge, AB., on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Roque Pereira officiating.

A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011-4th Ave. South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback, Celebrant.
