By Lethbridge Herald Obituaries on December 17, 2015.

ALDOUS, Elizabeth (Betty)

July 30, 1930 – December 12, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Betty Aldous on Saturday, December 12th, 2015 in Calgary, AB at the age of 85 years.

Betty spent most of her life in Lethbridge but has lived with her son & daughter-in-law in Calgary for the last four years.

Betty was born in Mikado, SK on the family farm. From the get-go, she was a tomboy. She would prefer to be out helping her father rather than being in the kitchen. Despite all that, Betty was a great cook. She loved to cook for her family and everyone looked forward to the family Ukrainian Christmas Eve dinner.

She raised her family of boys with her husband Roy in Lethbridge, AB. Betty loved her careers at the Lethbridge TV station and was working at the Woodward’s Department Store when she retired. She loved to reminisce about her jobs and co-workers like she retired only yesterday.

Her favourite pastimes were gardening, computer games, crossword puzzles and reading. She loved her pets and grandpets.

Betty will be dearly missed. She loved her family and friends and was loved in return by so many. She would always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

Betty is survived by her four sons, Bill (Darlene) of Lethbridge, Wayne of Lethbridge, Kevin (Weisja) of Victoria, BC, and Mark (Cindy) of Calgary; her grandchildren, Rob (Jennifer) Aldous of Calgary, Jennifer (Ryan) Sparks of Lacombe, AB, Cameron (Tanya) of Lethbridge, and Megan (Ty) of Lethbridge; and great-grandchildren, Mckenzie, Logan, and Tyler. She is also survived by her brother Peter (Elaine) Rollock of Sequim, WA, her sister Vivian (Leo) Chicilo of Regina, SK, her sister-in-law Liz Rollock of Kingston, ON and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was predeceased by her husband Roy and her parents Bill and Anne Rollack of Canora, SK.

In honour of Betty’s request, no funeral service will be held. In the spring when the flowers are in bloom, a private family inurnment will take place in Lethbridge where she will be laid to rest with her husband Roy.

Forward condolences through http://www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

In living memory of Betty Aldous, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Fish Creek, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: 403-256-9575.
