ANTOSKO

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kevin William Antosko at the age of 58.

He is survived by his loving family; wife Donna, son Cory (Leanne), grandson’s Ethan Cory, Cole Alan, Aidan Kevin, Nate William, siblings Sharon, Pam (David), Pete (Neen) and the Outlaws as he so lovingly referred to the Waldner Family as. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will take place on Monday, December 28 at 11:00 am at Vimy Armoury, 337 Stubb Ross Rd, Lethbridge County (Airport).

Wayne Cameron Bain Sr.

1935 – 2015

Wayne Cameron Bain Sr. of Lethbridge, Alberta, beloved husband of Lydia.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wayne Cameron Bain Sr. announce his passing on December 17, 2015 at the age of 79, six days before his 80th birthday.

Wayne leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Lydia; his legacy of children Carrie (Yuki), Sandi, and Cameron (Karen); grandchildren Kevin (Angela), Shereen (Jared), Chantelle (Ryan), Katherine, Kristen and Skyler; as well as six great grandchildren, four sisters and many cousins.

Wayne was born in Lethbridge at the Galt Hospital on December 23, 1935. Wayne loved country life and his time on the farm. He is fondly remembered for the days when he was retired and spent most of his earlier days going to auction sales. He loved to spend time buying and collecting old tractors and harvesters. Wayne spent his final days living on the farm. He loved driving around on his ATV, and his scooter and then in the end, his wheelchair.

We will always love and remember you Dad. You will be deeply missed.

Willow, Piper and Koda will truly miss sitting under and by your wheelchair waiting for a morsel of food.

A special thank you to Dr. J. Burke for your kind and gentle guidance in Wayne’s final days. We would also like to thank the home care girls, especially Deanne, Melissa and Candace, who gave dad excellent care for the last 6 years.

At Wayne’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation entrusted to Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.

A private Celebration of Life with immediate family will be held at a later date.

BRUISED HEAD

SCOTTY JOEL

BRUISED HEAD – ISSOKIMI

January 16, 1978 – December 20, 2015

Born January 16, 1978 to his mother Naatohkiyaaki Monica Bruised Head.He grew up in the foothills where he learned how to play hockey, and ride horses. Being from a family who loves the rodeo, he participated and won the IRCA junior boys Steer riding. He was a great hockey player, he played with Kainai, Piikani, Southland Ice Dogs and Siksika teams. Not only was he big, tall and strong, he was the enforcer who protected his fellow hockey players and helped them to many championships. Scotty worked in the oil fields in northern Alberta, later he helped to build the towers for power lines in southern Alberta. He also worked with numerous construction companies throughout the years; IONA Construction, Valard Construction, and Synergy Construction He is survived by sons Traven Weasel Traveler, Austin Fox, Treylin and Ethan Saskatchewan-Bruised Head; Sisters, Courtney Sunny Beth (Kelly), Chantal (Blake); “Brothers” Scooter, Chad, Jessie, Leo, Lyle, Joey, Redlight, Shane, JR, Ty, and others too numerous to name; niece Christina and nephew Talyn; adopted parents Leonard & Dorothy Day Rider aunts Sandra & Genevieve (Roy), uncles Phillip, John, Lucious & Pam, Melvin & Teresa, Joe & Lorraine, and Pete. Grandmother Sadie Wadsworth-Many Fingers. Many cousins; Lynette(Kerry), Deidre (Steven), Barclay (Tracy), Angie, Waylon, Kristy, Nicole (Kyle), Buster, Joni, Buck, Nelson, Cody and the Bruised Head, Wadsworth, and Day Chief clans. Scotty was pre-deceased by his Grandfathers Everett Bruised Head and Floyd Many Fingers. A Wake Service will be at the Senator Gladstone Hall, Blood Reserve on Sunday, December 27th from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blood Reserve on Monday, December 28th at 11:00 a.m. sharp, with Father Pawel Andrasz officiating. Interment in St. Catherine’s Cemetery. Feast to follow at the Senator Gladstone Hall

1963 – 2015
It is with great sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Elmer Evan Benson at his home in Dunmore on Monday, December 21, 2015 at the age of 52 years.

He is survived by Laurel Eremenko, his loving companion of eleven years and her children Sandra, Brett and Desirae; his mother Lois Benson of Taber; his sister Wanda (Adam) Andreas of Edmonton and children Evan Andreas, Shannon (Doug) Schmidt and family and Joy (Ryan) Archer and family; his brother Owen Benson of Coaldale and children Jason McNiven (Wendy) and family and Cory (Renee) Benson and family; his sister-in-law Nola Benson of Lethbridge and children Devin (Candace) Benson and Curtis Benson; his sister Deb (Ib) Simonsen of Picture Butte and children Brie Simonsen and family and Casey Simonsen.
Elmer will be met with open arms by his father Harold and his brothers Warren and Craig.
Known to many as “Duke”, Elmer was born in Taber on May 7, 1963. As a young boy, he loved to fish and hunt rabbits. He worked on the rigs and tried other jobs until he moved to Medicine Hat in the late eighties and settled into home exteriors, eventually opening his own business, “Elmer’s Gutters”. He spent many evenings tinkering in his workshop working on his trucks and other projects.

OSBERG

Ray Osberg of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Alma, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on December 22, 2015 at the age of 78 years.

Besides his loving wife, Alma, Ray is survived by his daughters Lue Kast (Alan) and Wanda Osberg and special grandson Wade Kast.

At Ray’s request, no funeral service will be held. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.

RONALD GORDON KIRKVOLD

1937 – 2015

It is with great sadness we wish to

announce the passing of Ronald Gordon Kirkvold at Milk River on December 21, 2015 at the age of 78 years.

Ron is lovingly remembered by his wife, Lyn; daughters, Shantelle Boatright (Scott Stevens), Deedra Deveau (Doug Oscar); Grandaughters, Aaron Kirkvold, Lauren and Noelle McMurray; Brother, Bill (Donna) Kirkvold; Sister, Pat (Neal) Jones; Brother-in-law, Don (Mary) Bell and their families.

A private family memorial service will be held in the spring of 2016.

We, the family, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Milk River Continuing Care for the excellent and loving care Ron was given.


Liesbeth Santrau

1930 – 2015

Mrs. Liesbeth Santrau of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Hans Santrau, passed away from Alziehemers at the age of 85 years.

Liesbeth was born in Germany on September 15, 1930. She was a volunteer for many years at the Norbridge Senior Centre where she loved to play bingo, floor curl and do all different kinds of crafts. She also loved to travel while listening to her favorite singer Neil Diamond. Lisbeth also adored her house plants.

Liesbeth is survived by her two daughters Monika and Linda; two sons Elie and Klaus; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband, Liesbeth was predeceased by her parents Maria and Fran Hinz.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:00pm at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4 St. S. Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Rodger Halvorsen officiating.
