JANET DOREEN BRADLEY, our much-loved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend left us on January 24, 2017. Janet is survived by her children Shiela, Colleen (Doug), Keith (Tammy) and her beautiful grandchildren Dakota, Jace, Joel and Chloe. Janet was predeceased by her husband William Bradley in 1995. She also leaves many nieces and nephews across the Prairies, her sister in law Doreen Lougheed and many dear friends. Jan was a nurse for several years. She especially enjoyed her time working in labour and delivery; many babies born in Lethbridge had her by their side as they made their way into the world. Our mom loved good ice cream, watching the birds feeding at her birdfeeders, a challenging puzzle, the Blue Jays (whether they played well or not) and like any good nurse a bawdy joke. She had the best smile. We offer our deep gratitude to the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care for the exceptional kindness they extended to our mother and to us. If you so wish, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Michael’s Palliative Care, or the Lethbridge Food Bank would make mom smile. Mr. Jeffrey Dyck of Coaldale, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 28, 2017 at the age of 33 years. Jeff was born in London, ON to Mary Giesbrecht and Jacob Dyck. Jeff is remembered most for his big heart and willingness to help anybody and everybody. He was incredibly intellectual, wrote beautifully, and he passionately lived by his ideals and morals. His goofy personality and crass sense of humour always brought a laugh to the room. Music and family were his life, and he is loved and missed more than words can convey. Jeff is survived by his sisters Theresa (Jimmie) Thiessen and Angela Dyck (Ryan Burgess); his brothers Danny Dyck (Shauna Marrat), Johnny Dyck (Patti Dewsbery), and Isaac Banman (Margaret); as well as Michelle Nickerson; nieces Alyssa, Summer, April, Lila and Hannah; nephews Noah, Jaxon, Allister, Logan, Asher and great-nephew Remington. TERUKO SAVAGE, beloved wife of Peter Savage, passed away in Lethbridge, on Saturday January 27, 2017 at the age of 91. Besides her husband Peter, Terry is survived by her sisters Martha Akune of Raymond, Alberta, Yoshiye Nakata of Vancouver B,C., Mariko Sato (Aki) of Winnipeg Manitoba, Hiroko Ikeda of Calgary, Alberta and sister-in-laws Haruko Ikeda and Peggy Stanton of Lethbridge Alberta, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Gunjiro and Ayano Ikeda, brother Roy Ikeda, sister Setsuko Matsugi, brother-in-laws Dairoku Matsugi, Yosh Akune and Dick Nakata. She was a hard working, kind and generous woman who loved children. She had a love of gardening and especially growing flowers. Our family would like to thank Rose Helmer for the kindness and care she has shown to her over the years. Thank you also to all the wonderful nurses for their compassionate care of Terry. Flowers and koden are gratefully declined. A private family memorial service will take place.

Vaughn Smith
1954 – 2017
Vaughn Hugh Smith, beloved husband of Connie Bouey-Smith, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in Taber on Friday, January 27, 2017. The day before his passing, Vaughn celebrated his sixty third birthday with his wife Connie and daughter Jen. He had a delicious supper followed by cake and balloons. The evening ended with him and Connie watching their favorite show together.

Besides his loving wife Connie, Vaughn is survived by his daughter Jennifer Rae Angyal and her children Chase and Jayden; stepson Jason Olson and his son Keagan. He is also survived by his mother Florence Smith (nee Abel); his siblings Rod (Karen) Smith, Chris (Rick) Williams, Marj (Gary) Gorday, Leona (Ab) Nevil and by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Hugh Smith in 1986 and by Connie’s parents John and Janet Bouey.
If friends so desire, memorial tributes in Vaughn’s name may be made to the Taber Dog Pound. He had a sincere love for dogs, especially his sweet “Stretchâ€.
