Carolyn Esther (Diller) Hofer

August 14, 1937 – May 6, 2017

Mrs. Carolyn Hofer of Raymond, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away at the Raymond Hospital after a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the STIRLING MENNONITE CHURCH, 8 km East of Raymond on Hwy. 52, 5 km West of Hwy 4 on Hwy 52.

Gary Sullivan

1952 – 2017

Mr. Gary Sullivan of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Marg Sullivan, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, March 3, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Gary was born on June 13, 1952 in Montreal to Andrew and Helen Sullivan. Gary and Marg married on February 12, 1977 and moved to Lethbridge shortly after. Gary began working with Richardson Oilseed (Canbra Foods) as a purchaser. Though he was hardworking and enjoyed his career, it was family that mattered to him most. It was the visits from his sons and grandson that kept Gary smiling. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marg; sons, Nick (Megan) and Josh; grandson, Declan; mother, Helen; brother, Doug (Holly); and by his nephews, niece and cousins. Gary was predeceased by his father, Andrew and brother, Brian. Those who knew Gary were familiar with his quick wit, keen sense of humour and knack for the perfect pun. He thrived on good company, good food, good music and keeping in touch with everyone in his family. Although those who were close to him miss him dearly, we know that his suffering has ended and that he is resting in peace. Gary’s family would like to thank the doctors in Lethbridge and Calgary, the staff and care providers at the Lethbridge Dialysis Unit and the Jack Ady Cancer Centre for their care and support during his many years of illness. Additionally, we extend a thank you to the home care staff and nurses for their ongoing compassion and care over the past few years. A Celebration of Gary’s Life and reception will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB. A private family inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery following the service. Henry Bennink

1936 – 2017

Mr. Henry Bennink of Nobleford, beloved husband of Mrs. Miny Bennink, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer, and with family by his side on May 3, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Henry was born August 13, 1936, in the small town Wijhe, Netherlands. In 1958, after finishing his duty in the Air Force, he immigrated to Canada. He worked in Grand Prairie until Miny joined him in 1960. April 1, 1960 Henry & Miny got married and moved to Nobleford. Henry’s endless hours of hard work and determination led to 3 successful businesses; Nobleford Lumber, Noble Concrete and Jobe Sand & Gravel. Besides his loving wife Miny, he leaves behind his daughter Ingrid (Wade) Christianson; granddaughter Amber Christianson (Dennis) and sister Janet Bennink (Jan). Henry was predeceased by his parents Paulus and Sara (Zwartjes) Bennink, father and mother-in-law Gerrit and Ida (Davina) Joosten; brother-in-law Frans Biesterbos (Mia) and brother-in-law Tonny Joosten (Leny). A Celebration of Henry’s life will be held at 11:00am on Friday May 12, 2017 at the ITALIAN CANADIAN CLUB, 1511 St. Edward Blvd N, Lethbridge, AB. Included at the service is an open mic opportunity for guests to share some memories. Flowers are gratefully declined. 1971- 2017

Mrs. Karen Mikado of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Don Mikado and amazing mother to Taya and Sam Mikado, passed away suddenly on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the age of 45 years. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at the SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 – 4 Ave., S., Lethbridge, Alberta with Father Lucas Drapal, celebrant. LUCHANSKY

Mrs. Alice May Luchansky, beloved wife of Leonard Luchansky, passed away May 2, 2017 at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She is survived by four children, Beverly, Rodney, Donette and Tammy. Alice was pre-deceased by one grandchild, and survived by six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

No funeral service will be held at Alice’s request. Alice’s final resting place will be in the mountains among the flowers she loved.

ALBERTA JOAN VADNAIS beloved wife of Keith Vadnais, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the age of 72 years.

Besides Keith, Alberta is survived by her children, Chris (Fonda), Michelle (Rod) Mann, Lance, Jonathan (Trisha), Joseph (Jennifer); 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; also survived by her siblings, Fred, Linda, Charles (Shari) & Garrett (Marilyn). She was predeceased by her parents, Fritz & Minnie Komm.

Friends may meet the family at the Legacy Funeral Home, Cardston on Thursday, May 11th from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. A family service will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke foundation.
