CAROL BEATON, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the age of 73 years.

DAYE
HELEN DAYE, beloved mother & grandmother, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the age of 71 years.
Helen is survived by her son Richard (Lisa) Daye, her grandchildren Makayla Roberts and Sydney Daye. She is also survived by a large extended family.
A Funeral Service will take place at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive, South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, June 29th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Glenda Wert officiating.
An interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery following the Funeral Service.

Mr. Edward “Ed” Pommen of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Margaret Pommen, passed away at the St. Therese Villa on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 99 years. Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL 610 4 Street S., Lethbridge, AB. Mr. Gerard Thom of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Mrs. Shelley Thom and devoted father to Adam Thom, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at the age of 57 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced when completed.

HARKER
On June 24th our hero, DOUGLAS HARKER, “slipped the surly bonds of earth…put out his hand and touched the face of God.” He is survived by his wife, Karolyn Harker, his children, Susan (Randy) Bohnet, Jeffrey (Michelle) Harker, Brett (Nicole) Harker, Megan (Jon) Moak, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Doug attended BY High School in Provo, Utah after which he served a mission for his church. He received Bachelor and Masters’ Degrees from Utah State University. He worked for the Province of Alberta in several departments and retired in 1996 after which he taught at Medicine Hat College. Doug loved his family. He was proud beyond words of his children and grandchildren, often remarking what truly wonderful people they had become. Other passions included basketball, golf, tennis and weekly dates with his sweetheart of 54 years. He was adored and he will be sorely missed. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, EAST STAKE CENTRE, 4105 Forestry Avenue South, Lethbridge, with Bishop Aaron Low officiating. Interment to follow in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 12:00 noon to 12:45 p.m. at the church.

PETER LYSAK, beloved husband of Betty Lysak, passed away in Lethbridge on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the age of 87 years.
Along with his wife, he is lovingly remembered by his children, David (Debi), Michael, Richard, Kelly (Argil) and Kenneth (Sharla), 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Helen Lysak and Sophie (Ezio) Gardin as well as many nieces and nephews.

MERTA
JENNIFER LEE MERTA, beloved wife of Trevor Merta, of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly on Friday, June 23, 2017 at the age of 44 years.
She is the loving daughter of Fred and Dianne Doell of Thailand. Jenn is also survived by her brother Joshua Doell, parents-in-law Larry (Ev) Merta, siblings-in-law Robin (Michelle) Merta, Tim (Sharmaine) Merta, Brenda (Brad) Vonkeman, along with several nephews, nieces, and a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jenn is predeceased by her brother Jeff and her grandparents.
Jennifer was a vibrant and giving soul who loved all things family, Christmas, snow and cats! Her loving ways and cheerful disposition will be so very missed by her family and friends.
An interment will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY – 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
