BULL CHILD

March 17, 1992 – July 13, 2017

TAYLAN BULL CHILD, beloved son of Leslie (Kaishi) Bull Child of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 13th, 2017 at the age of 25 years.

Along with his mother, he is lovingly remembered by his brothers, Ashton, Tori, Dustin, Jayde (Brandi) and their daughter, Tianna Bull Child. Taylan will be deeply missed by his uncles, Antonio and Barry, his aunties, Shelly, Marla and Janet, as well as many other relatives.

He was dearly loved by his father, George Long Time Squirrel and now joins him in Heaven.

Taylan will be remembered as being a very friendly and loving young man in his own quiet way. He was very creative, resourceful and had a wonderful imagination.

Taylan’s death has left a deep hole in our hearts, a soul that left too early from our lives.

A Wake Service will be held at STREETS ALIVE, 323-4th Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M.

A Celebration of Life will be held at STREETS ALIVE, on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. followed by a Burial at St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Blood Reserve, AB.

Klaas “Nick” Wever

1935 – 2017

It is with great sadness but eternal hope that we announce the sudden passing on to glory of Nick Wever on July 21, 2017.

Nick was born on March 10, 1935 to Jacob and Catherina Wever in Friesland, Holland where he grew up on a dairy farm. He immigrated with his family of 13 to Alberta, Canada in 1953. In 1961, he married Minety Withage. They first lived and worked in Raymond on the Keeler farm. In 1964, they settled on the Withage farm near Monarch where they raised their family of 7 sons and 1 daughter. Nick also was a member of the Nobleford CRC, as member, elder, cadet counselor and catechism teacher. He also was a board member and had a love for Immanuel Christian School. Nick loved the Lord, his wife and family, the farm life and people. In 1992, they moved off the farm into west Lethbridge where he enjoyed his yard, traveling, babysitting grandkids and retirement. In 2013, they moved into The View at Lethbridge where he enjoyed puzzling, carpet bowling and visiting.

Nick is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Minety Wever, as well as his sons Jack (Wilma), Charlie (Lisa), Mike (Linda), Dave (Diane), Wayne (Audra), Glen (Sonya), Phil (Linda) and daughter Melinda (Jeff) Notenbomer along with 30 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 26,2017 at the NOBLEFORD-MONARCH CEMETERY, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00am at the NOBLEFORD CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 522 Highway Ave, Nobleford, Alberta.

ANDREA LYNNE “PENNY” OCZKOWSKI

September 11, 1946

– July 21, 2017

Andrea Lynne “Penny” Oczkowski, beloved wife of John Oczkowski, passed away at the Pincher Creek Hospital on July 21, 2017 at the age of 70 years after a courageous battle with cancer.

Penny was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on September 11, 1946 to Lawrence and Penelope Mead.

Penny is survived by her husband John and her three children: Ronald and his children Alexandra and Ryan; Darren (Lara) and their children Brayda and Isabella; Rhonda (Colin) and their children Peyton and Morgan. She is also survived by her brother Jack (Bev) Mead and family and her brother in law Ed (Gloria) Oczkowski and family. Penny will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends as well.

Penny was predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Penelope Mead; her brother Larry Mead; her sister in law Pat Mead; her niece Nancy Vance; Penny’s infant daughter Debra Lynn Miyada; her brother in law Joe Oczkowski; her brother and sister in law Walter and Agnes Oczkowski; her sister in law Elsie Wakelam.

A memorial celebration honoring Penny’s life will be held at a later date.
