ANECA

Mrs. Helsby Aneca of Raymond, beloved wife of the late Marcel (Marshall) Aneca passed away on Sunday October 8th, 2017 at the age of 95, surrounded by her large and loving family.

Born and raised in Raymond, Alberta, she was the first daughter of Ernest and Sarah Organ. Helsby married Marshall Aneca on February 14th, 1942. Together they raised eight children. She is survived by Linda (Bob) Johnson, Jim (Pat) Aneca, Dick (Gwen) Aneca, Kathy (Allen) Faulhaber, Joy (John/deceased) Bourne, Morris (Ginger) Aneca and Judy (Walter) Zobell. Twenty Grandchildren and Fifty-six Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Marshall, one son Robert and two grandsons, Dennis and Roger Aneca.

Helsby was the helpmate of Marshall as they began and grew their Road Construction Company, Aneca Construction, and later as they expanded into Transportation with AC Transport. In addition, she worked in the retail trade in both Raymond and Lethbridge and cherished the friendships she developed.

Helsby was involved with the Raymond Hospital Auxiliary for many years and recently received her thirty-year anniversary pin. She was a life long quilter and every new grandchild and Great grandchild was the recipient of a hand-stitched quilt. In addition to quilting, in later years she spent hundreds of hours knitting squares to be made into quilts for the homeless.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday October 14th, 2017 at the Raymond LDS Stake Centre, 2N 200W, at 2:00 p.m. Bishop Wallace Tollestrup officiating. Friends may meet the family prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m.

Doris Adeline Boehr of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Ben Boehr, passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at the age of 90 years. Mrs. Carrie Elliott-Pohl, beloved wife of Mr. Jason Pohl and mother of Kennedy and Shadow, passed away suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the age of 44 years.

DUELL

Geraldine Court Duell, beloved wife of John Herbert “Jack” Duell of Lethbridge Alberta, passed away at home on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Geraldine was born May 22, 1931 in Raymond, Alberta and grew up singing. After graduating from Raymond High School, she attended normal school in Calgary and became a school teacher. She taught in New Dayton, Alberta where she met the love of her life, John Herbert “Jack” Duell. They were married on July 4, 1951 in Raymond, Alberta. During their years together, they lived near New Dayton and south of Fort Macleod before moving on to Montana and Utah. Coming back to Alberta, they hung their hats in Lethbridge near family.The highlight of their life together was serving together as ordinance workers in the St George Temple.The loving mother of: David (Susan) Duell of Regina, SK, Karen (Brian) Moore of Lethbridge, AB, Barbara (Jim) Sprinkle of Salmon, ID, John (MaryLynn) Duell of Lethbridge, AB, Susan (Stuart) Foote of Fort Macleod, AB and Marilyn (Nolan) Davidsen of Lethbridge, AB. With 23 Grandchildren and 31 Great-grandchildren at her passing. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Opal Court.She is predeceased by her parents: Lowell John and Thelma “Tommie” Court and her brother, Lowell Thomas Court. SHENDRUK

JOHN “JACK” SHENDRUK, beloved husband of Joyce Shendruk, of Coaldale, passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years.

Besides his loving wife Joyce, John is survived by his children Pat (Jackie), Tim, and Terry (Cathy); grandchildren Tyler (Amanda), Brandon, Jonathan, Cassy and Anden. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Dolly Crab, Mildred Findlay and Norma MacDonald; brother-in-law Bud (Marilyn) Monson and many nieces and nephews, as well as his “special family”, Helen Ruston, Ann and Nick Lastuka, Rose Beresnak and Fred Leverik.

John was predeceased by his parents, brother Bill, sister Annie and stepsister Mary.

John was born in New Dayton, on December 18, 1927 and was raised in Iron Springs. He married Joyce Monson on November 15, 1951. They resided in Lethbridge where he worked for Southern Alberta Co-op (Cattle Division), Noble Cultivators, managed Hog Marketing Board and retired at Dresser-Rand.

John loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed family time with his children and grandchildren.

The Funeral Service will be held at the COALDALE UNITED CHURCH, 2022 – 18 Street, Coaldale, AB, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Glenda Wert officiating.

WAGNER

PETER WAGNER, loving husband to Carol Wagner, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Monday, October 9th, 2017 at the age of 80 years.

Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his family: Michele (Mike) Roberts, Pat Wagner, Cindy (Eugene) Groten, Nanette (Paul) Stahl and Darrel (Jennifer) Wagner; 13 grandchildren, Shawn (Sabra) Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Katie (Jeff) Saruwatari, Timothy Wagner (Yuilia), Cody Wagner, Amanda (Ben) Wright, Jaclyn Groten, Janelle Groten (Jordan), Stephanie Groten, Samantha Stahl, Zachary Stahl, Nicole Stahl and Allison Wagner; and six great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by four sisters & two brothers; Betty Scherger, Sister Alice Wagner and Sister Maxine Wagner, Deacon Ray (Ellen) Wagner, Dolores (Tom) Wagner-Owens, Joe (Bev) Wagner, three brothers-in-law Greg, Kevin and Tim Delaney and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Max and Theresia Wagner, brother Bernard Wagner, two brothers-in-law Wilfred Scherger and Gary Delaney and parents-in-law Lawrence and Hilda Delaney.

Peter lived a life of dedication to his faith. He was a great family man who adored his grandkids. He will be sadly missed.

A Prayer Service will be held at ST. BASIL’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 614 – 13 Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7:00 P.M.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Lukas Drapal celebrating.

Peter will be laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery.

Margaret Wyrostok

1926 – 2017

With sadness, our family says goodbye to our cherished mom, grandma and great grandma. Mrs. Margaret Wyrostok of Picture Butte, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Piyami Place at the age of 91 years. Margaret was born in Coalhurst, Alberta on August 13, 1926 to Austin and Lillian Daley. Margaret married Emil Wyrostok in 1946 and they moved to Picture Butte in the late 50’s and resided there ever since. She was very devoted to her family and husband and always made sure nobody went home hungry. Margaret was a member of the CWL for many years. In her last years, Margaret was a resident of Piyami Place, where she received exceptional care and love from both the staff and residents. She is survived by two daughters, Cara and Marianna (Al); two sons, Dale and Bernard (Lorna); eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.Besides her loving husband, Emil Wyrostok, she was predeceased by her parents, Austin and Lillian Daley; brothers, Gerald, Lawrence and Bernard. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 6:00 to 7:00PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
