LESLIE RICHARD DAY CHIEF, beloved spouse of Annie Bare Shin Bone and cherished son of June Day Chief and the late Leslie Richard Buck Skin, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at the age of 46 years.

A Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME – 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Rocky Brave Rock officiating.

A Wake will be held at the Old Agency Hall – Blood Reserve, AB. on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 from 7:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH – 2405 12th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with Father Kevin Tumback officiating.

Following the Funeral Mass, Leslie will be laid to rest at the Old Agency Cemetery.

Mrs. Madeline Jobidon Cormier of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Louis-Philippe Cormier, passed away at St. Michael’s Health Centre on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the age of 100 years. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 15, 2017, at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Rev. Sydney Bell Bell, Sydney October 20th,1924 –

December 8th, 2017

Sydney died peacefully at the Norwood Capital Care Center on December 8th, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 93. Sydney was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in Warrington England in 1952. As a minister of the United Church of Canada he faithfully served congregations in Tofield, Lethbridge, Edmonton and Red Deer. He will be fondly remembered by his daughters Audrey (Keith) Buschgens and Linda (David) Roussel; his grandchildren Pamela Clark, Daniel Buschgens, Aimee Palmer, Adrienne Roussel; great grandchildren Abigail, Luke and Liam; niece Maureen Gilchrist; and his former wife Gwyneth Bell. Sydney was predeceased by his brothers Norman and Gordon. A celebration of his life will be held at Kirk United Church (13535 – 122 Ave., Edmonton) on December 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm. A private family cremation service has taken place. Memorial donations in memory of Sydney may be made to Kids On Track Association of Edmonton, 15641-96 Ave. Edmonton, AB T5P2R7.

Mrs. Della Lucille Shaw, beloved wife of the late Mr. Winston Shaw, passed away early Friday morning on December 8, 2017 at the age of 97 years. Friends may meet the family from 9:30 – 10:30am at the CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST CHIRST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS -Taylor St. Chapel – 221 N 400 W Raymond, AB prior to the service on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in the Temple Hill Cemetery – Raymond, AB.

TOM TSUYOSHI OHNO

1937 – 2017

Passed away peacefully in Ottawa, Ontario on December 8, 2017. Beloved son of the late Mitsuyo and Tadao Ohno.

Survived by his siblings: Tamiko, Ted (Shirley), Rumiko (Ichio) Deceased: Connie and Steve, Kaz (Sets).

Born in Mission, B.C. and evacuated to Shaughnessy, Alberta in 1942. Then to Barnwell/Taber and Lethbridge, AB.

After graduating from Calgary Tech, he moved to Ottawa to work for the Government in the Research Department.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Ottawa, Ontario.
