LCI drops contest to visiting Mohawks

Medicine Hat High Mohawks outlasted the LCI Rams 97-91 in Southern Alberta 4A Boys Basketball League action Tuesday night at LCI.

Matt Manas hit for 30 points for the Mohawks, who were tied 46-46 with the Rams at the half. Darin Parker was next in line with 23 points.

Rams were led by Tanner McLachlan with 30 points while John Evans and Jordan Jacobs added 17 and 13 points respectively.

In junior varsity play, LCI upended the Hat 74-46 as Isaiah Bagnah tossed in 20 points and John Bustamante added 11. Justin Maser replied with 10 for Medicine Hat and Nathan Del Rosario added nine.

In other action, Raymond Comets built a 64-16 halftime lead en route to a 105-54 victory over the Chinook Coyotes.

Chase Bohne led the Comets with 20 points while Clieve Durfey and Tyler Baker added 12 apiece, followed by Brock Dewsbery with 11.

Nolan Court and Boe Clarkson replied with 12 points each for the Coyotes.

In JV play, Raymond downed Chinook 79-41 as Parker scored 22 points and Eastin Oler added 16. Liam Doyle topped Chinook with nine points and Clarkson added eight.
