The Lethbridge Football Club mens’ team are back at home this weekend in the second game of three-game homestand.

The LFC hit the Servus Sports Centre this afternoon at 2 p.m. as they play host to the Edmonton Green & Gold during Alberta Major Soccer League action.

The 2-2-2 LFC look to get back above the .500 mark following a close 3-2 loss to the Calgary Villains Elite FC last weekend.

To do so, they’ll tangle with the Green & Gold (2-0), who are coming in on an off week after blanking the Edmonton Scottish 1-0 June 4.

Heading into the weekend, the LFC are in fourth place, two points behind the 3-2-1 Edmonton Scottish and one point behind the Edmonton Drillers (2-2-1).

The LFC will cap off their three-game homestand and round out June’s schedule in the process when they take on the Drillers June 24.

The 2-5 LFC women are off this weekend, but return home June 24 and 25 when they face the Edmonton Victoria and the Red Deer Renegades, respectively, at the Servus Sports Centre.

The team is in fifth place, six points behind the Edmonton Scottish Angels and the Calgary Callies, but three points up on the Calgary Rapids FC.
