Much to be gained from distancing?

By Letter to the Editor on February 8, 2019.

A dried out and very skimpy crust of toast to the local yellow vests for “disinviting” the “Neo-Nazis” from their weekly demo.

I know we are enjoined to “hate the sin, love the sinner,” but in this case the sinner pretty much personifies the sin so the yellow vests will find there’s not that much credit to be gained in distancing themselves from the brown shirts, but, it’s a start.

Now if they’d just step back, take a deep breath and admit that there is no discernible link between getting oil to market and Canada’s immigration and refugee policy, they might get a little more sympathy. As it is, the xenophobia evidenced by their placards just smacks a little too much of racism for people to swallow the rest the argument.

Only”Social Justice Warrior” lunatics would call “The Yellow Vest Movement” “Neo-Nazis” go crawl into your sanctimonious safe-space with your Virtue Signalling nobody wants to hear it.
