The Lethbridge Hurricane Hockey Hounds have been volunteering for the Hurricane hockey team and youth in the community for 49 years.
They are a dedicated team of volunteers who show up for every Hurricane hockey game in all kinds of weather, many times giving up family time to be there. And it’s all volunteer.
So could someone please explain to me why the Enmax decided they are no longer needed and they will pay people to come and work. How’s that for a kick in the butt?
Last hockey game the Hounds handed over to the team $249,000 and have given money every year for the players’ education fund. They now are told they can do the 50/50 only. I would like an explanation and I’m sure other fans will, too. Thank you.
