Quite frequently one hears/reads about complaints concerning service by Air Canada.
Well, this is not a complaint, but a compliment!
On trying to return from Kelowna to Lethbridge last Aug. 27, I kept receiving delay notices on my iPhone. These eventually resulted in a message that my connecting flight to Lethbridge was cancelled (I just wouldn’t make that connection in Calgary). Concerned, I approached an Air Canada agent in the Kelowna departure lounge. There I was told to contact the relevant Air Canada personnel just near my exiting the plane in Calgary. A young lady traveller was in the same situation.
On arriving in Calgary, just a few paces from the exit, I identified myself and was handed a folder (as was the fellow traveller). This folder contained a boarding pass for a flight for me to Lethbridge for after 10 a.m. the next morning; a hotel voucher for a night stay at the superior in-terminal Marriott Hotel; plus food and drink vouchers for that evening and next morning, for both in-hotel or airport use.
It was lovely and so professional!
