Lethbridge Regional Police Service is investigating an alleged assault that occurred earlier this morning along the 300 block of 28th Street South.
At approximately 8:39 a.m., police responded to a report a woman had been assaulted by an unknown man while she was taking her garbage out. According to police, the woman was grabbed from behind and sustained non-life-threatening injuries. When she began screaming, the subject fled southbound on foot.
Police said the subject is described as an Aboriginal male, late 30s, approximately six-feet tall, with his hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a yellow ball cap, jeans and may have had a denim jacket with him.
