Fire on roof of city business results in over $40,000 worth of damage

A fire which broke out on the roof of a city business has resulted in over $40,000 in damage.
At approximately 9:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a roof fire at Haul All Equipment located at 4115-18 Ave N.
According to a press release from the city, fire crews could see heavy black smoke and flames coming from the roof while they were still blocks away. All four stations initially responded, with 21 firefighters in total.
The city added the fire was quickly contained to the roof and chimney. No injuries were reported, as all 140 employees left the building quickly and went to their meeting place.
Fire Investigators completed the investigation, and determined the chimney of the furnace that bakes the powder coating had accumulated combustible material.
