With warmer temperatures on the horizon, Lethbridge’s two outdoor spray parks, Rotary Centennial Fountain and Gyro Spray Park, are now open for use.
Rotary Centennial Fountain is located in the southeast corner of Galt Gardens in downtown Lethbridge. This fountain showcases water “dancing†along with music and lights. It has become a popular spot for the community to spend time on a hot day while enjoying the large downtown park, stores, restaurants and Farmer’s Market. which runs on Wednesdays starting July 8.
The Gyro Spray Park, located behind Nicholas Sheran Arena on the westside, has many water features. Some maintenance to features in the park will require temporary shut-downs of certain features, according to the city, which asked people to respect signage on site during the repairs.
Both spray parks are free for the public and will remain open until the September long weekend, or as summer weather permits. Hours of operation are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily for the Gyro Spray Park, and 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily for the Rotary Centennial Fountain.
