One dead following morning collision south of city

One person is dead following a collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck at Highway 4 and Highway 845 south of the city on Tuesday morning.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., Lethbridge RCMP along with Milk River and Raymond RCMP, an RCMP collision analyst, and EMS and Fire services, were all called out to the intersection.
The operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to the Chinook Regional Hospital, but was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
The name of the deceased is not being released at this time pending next of kin notification, RCMP said.
The collision is still under investigation, while anyone who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact the Lethbridge RCMP at 403-329-5080.
