Lethbridge Regional Police Service has charged two men in connection with the alleged assault of a 38-year-old man earlier this week.
Just after midnight on July 16, police responded to the 200 block of 13 Street North after receiving a report of a disturbance. Investigation determined a group of men had been drinking in the alley when they were confronted by two other men.
According to police, a physical altercation ensued over the liquor and a 38-year-old man was repeatedly punched and kicked in the head. A 25-year-old man was also struck in the face when he intervened to try and help the victim. The victim was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital with head injuries. He has since been released.
Following further investigation, the subjects were identified and located at a residence where they were arrested without incident.
Thorn Shawn Sanderson, 27, of Lethbridge, is charged with aggravated assault and robbery. He was remanded in custody to appear in court July 20.
Â Adrian Todd North Peigan, 33, of Brocket, is charged with aggravated assault, assault and robbery. He was remanded in custody to appear in court today.
