No Drilling Lethbridge launched a letter-writing campaign Wednesday night at the Owl Acoustic Lounge to protest Tamarack Valley Energy’s recent drilling activity within city limits.

The event was advertised as a family friendly event to send a strong message to Alberta’s Energy Regulator that Lethbridge residents oppose all current and future oil and gas well drilling activity within the City’s corporate area.

“Are you outraged and feeling powerless?” asks a message posted to the group’s website. “Do you feel like no one is listening to your concerns about the westside oil well? Do you feel like the Tamarack oil well is a done deal?”

“It’s not too late. There is something that can be done! Lethbridge deserves to participate! We have many unanswered questions. We need answers. We have the right to be involved.”
