Man facing weapons charges

Lethbridge Police have arrested a 22-year-old man after a firearm was allegedly pointed at staff members of a westside business Tuesday evening.

On Tuesday evening police responded to Shoppers Drug Mart along the 100 block of Columbia Boulevard West after reports that a man had entered the store, was unhappy with the service he received and after briefly leaving, returned and pointed a firearm at staff.

The man fled prior to police arrival.

Following a tip from the public, Lethbridge Police arrested David Guenther Krahn, 22, in downtown Lethbridge on Wednesday afternoon. A weapon was also seized.

Krahn is charged with possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, uttering threats, use of a firearm while committing an offence and pointing a firearm.
