Man facing charges following break-in on Blood Reserve

A 35-year-old man is in custody and facing numerous criminal charges following a break-in to a home on the Blood Reserve.

The Blood Tribe Police Service reported Thursday that at about 3:15 p.m. the previous day police were called to a break and enter in progress at a rural home in the southeast area of the reserve. The victim told police the man, who is known to the residents of the home, broke into the residence and assaulted the victim.

Sean Scout of the Blood Tribe has been charged with break and enter into a dwelling with intent, assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, choking, possession of a weapon and three breaches of a recognizance.

Scout was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in Cardston provincial court Monday.
