Pedestrian struck crossing against light on westside

By Jensen, Randy on November 14, 2019.

Lethbridge Police are reminding pedestrians to obey traffic control devices after they were called out to a pedestrian collision on the westside early Wednesday afternoon.

An investigation by police revealed the lights for north/south traffic on University Drive and Garry Drive West had turned green when a 13-year-old pedestrian ran across the road in front of oncoming southbound traffic and the pedestrian was struck.

Injuries to the pedestrian were not life threatening, police said in a release, and no charges were laid in the incident.
