Chris Luedecke is a Juno Award-winning singer, songwriter and banjo player from Chester, close to Halifax.
He tours as “Old Man Luedecke,” and he’s the next guest, Saturday at the Lethbridge Folk Club. He’s being backed by a five-piece band on his Western Canada tour in support of his latest album, “East Money.”
Two earlier releases, “Proof of Love” and “My Hands Are on Fire” won Juno Awards as best traditional folk album of the year. More recent albums include “Domestic Eccentric” and “Tender is the Night,” named folk album of the year by Music Nova Scotia.
On his latest album, Luedecke is joined by longtime collaborator Tim O’Brien – Grammy Award winner – along with Afie Jurvanen and Fats Kaplin.
Folk Club concerts are held at 8 p.m. in the Cave, near the main entrance to Lethbridge College.
Tickets are available at Casa or online at lethbridgefolkclub.com.
