Police are on the lookout for two men who robbed a third man while he was standing outside the city’s supervised consumption site earlier this week.
At about 6:24 a.m. Monday two men approached the victim while he was speaking with some friends. Both men approached the victim from behind, punched him, then kicked him to the ground, police reported Tuesday in a news release.
The assailants, one of whom pulled out a knife, demanded the man empty his pockets and give them money or drugs, or he would be stabbed. Even though the victim showed he didn’t have money or drugs, the two suspects insisted he did and threatened to take him somewhere else. They didn’t make good on their threat and left the area.
The victim did not require medical attention.
Surveillance video at the site captured the robbery and helped police identify the two suspects.
