Man sought in Pincher Creek armed robbery

By Shurtz, Delon on December 11, 2019.

RCMP are asking the public to assist them in identifying a man suspected of an armed robbery in Pincher Creek.

At about 6 p.m. Monday a man entered the Great Canadian Liquor Store at 838 Main Street in Pincher Creek. He walked directly to several cases of vodka that were on display and began to pick up two cases when the store clerk asked if he could help. The suspect pulled a large knife from his sweater pocket and motioned at the clerk, then picked up the cases of vodka and left the store. The clerk was not injured.

The man walked south on St. John avenue and, police believe, got into a car that was waiting for him.

The man was wearing a black hoodie with CARHARTT written down the left sleeve, a black tuque and blue jeans. He appears darker skinned, and is possibly in his 20s.
