Exhibition Park facing temporary layoff of 80 percent of full-time workforce

By Lethbridge Herald on March 25, 2020.

Lethbridge and District Exhibition news release:

Lethbridge, AB – As a result of the unprecedented circumstances related to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, Lethbridge and District Exhibition has enacted the temporary layoff of 80 percent of its full-time workforce effective March 31st, 2020.

Along with all public gathering facilities, Exhibition Park has faced an abrupt halt to all public on-site activities. As a result, the decision has been made to undertake this temporary reduction.

In addition to the staff reduction, please also be advised that the spring edition of

Home & Garden Trade Show 2020 is cancelled.

While these are extremely difficult decisions, they are required measures in our effort to assist in slowing the spread of COVID-19. We trust that, as indicated, the layoffs are a temporary measure, and that in the near future we, along with our Community, are able to return to more normal business operations.

We understand that the Pandemic is resulting in an ever-changing situation. We will continue to provide updates regarding operations at Exhibition Park as they become available.

Please direct all general public and customer inquiries through the CONTACT US form found online at exhibitionpark.ca or email info@exhibitionpark.ca.
