Crime Suppression Team seizes $60,000 worth of fentanyl

Lethbridge Police have charged two Calgary men with drug and proceeds of crime offences following the execution of a search warrant at a south side residence Thursday.

On May 14, 2020 members of the Crime Suppression Team concluded a short term investigation into the suspected drug trafficking activity of two males renting an Airbnb along the 1600 block of 23 Street South. A warrant was obtained and executed at the property and the men were arrested without incident. During the search police seized 300 grams of fentanyl and more than $9,400 in cash. The estimated value of the drugs is approximately $60,000

Andres Joseph Connors, 31 and Robert Forrest Watt, 32, both of Calgary, are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Connors and Watt are currently remanded in custody. Both are scheduled to appear in court July 24.
