Two facing drug trafficking charges after seizure

Lethbridge Police Service Priority Crimes Unit has charged two people after a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and cash were seized last week.

On Sept. 18, following an investigation by members of the Priority Crimes Unit, an arrest and a search warrant was obtained and executed at a south Lethbridge hotel room. Police seized approximately 70 grams of cocaine, 46 grams of fentanyl, 9.6 grams of methamphetamine and over $2,800 in cash. The combined value of the drugs is approximately $16,800.

Jamie Anthony Copeland, 38, of Calgary is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime under $5,000. Adelina Christine Adams, 28, of Lethbridge is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Following a Judicial Interim Release Hearing both were remanded into custody for court at a later date.
