The inaugural Feed Lethbridge city-wide dinner party last Friday was a huge success, raising more than $25,000 to benefit the Lethbridge and Interfaith food banks.
With the current climate due to COVID-19, both local food banks have been searching for fundraising alternatives. The Lethbridge and Interfaith Food Banks partnered with local radio stations to host Feed Lethbridge. Community members were invited to host dinner parties in their own locations, with friends, family, or coworkers. The Feed Lethbridge website provided opportunities to purchase dinner packages, participate in online auctions and 50/50 raffle.
Both food banks thanked local radio stations for their partnership and the creativity involved in promoting the unique fundraiser, as well as the sponsors including: Mikado Electric, Wesbridge Construction, Friends of Feed Lethbridge, Mocha Local, Bavaru Catering, LA Chefs, Bootsma Bakery, Coaldale Bakery, Cobs Bread, Edible Elegance, The Pie Store, and the auction sponsors.
