14 new active COVID cases for Lethbridge

Lethbridge has 14 new active cases of COVID-19 over the past 24 hours according to statistics released by Alberta Health Services on Thursday.

North Lethbridge has 45 active cases, followed by south Lethbridge with 43 and west Lethbridge with 38. The number of recovered cases remained at 182.

Lethbridge County has 43 active cases, down two from Wednesday’s total.

The Holy Spirit Catholic School Division is dealing with COVID-19 outbreaks at three of its schools in Lethbridge.

The school division has been informed that another individual at St. Teresa of Calcutta School has been diagnosed with COVID-19, meaning the school is considered an outbreak as it has two cases.

Other outbreaks have been confirmed at St. Francis Junior High and Ecole St. Mary Elementary schools.

Holy Spirit said in a news release that each school community has been appropriately notified. In accordance with AHS guidelines, no details about members of the community who may test positive for COVID-19 can be disclosed.

The Lethbridge School Division is dealing with eight cases.
